Truthiness (Rieekan) vs Biggs (Dodonna) on the top table for the cut to 2. I can't quite pull it off - Rieekan and his MC80 die, but he takes my carrier and Dodonna's CR90 with him.

Congratulations Truthiness on your Regional Win. Just glad I don't have to play you at Nationals (because you aren't going).

All told it was a blast traveling down and meeting all you guys. Getting 5 games of Armada in one day was pretty sweet too.

I came in third - lots of fun, and it was good seeing 30 players. I barely missed 2nd due to MOV! It was cool seeing a bunch of different rebel commanders and varied lists everywhere.

I still can't believe I squeaked by you on MoV. I thought I was done for after that 2-8 start. It just goes to show was that you're never out in a big tournament like this. I pulled together three straight 9-1 wins (including one that was 9 points shy of a 10-0) to claw back to fight Biggs. Biggs seemed to be dominating the tourney up to that point. He had 34 tournament points to our measly 29. I'm absolutely in love with the 4 rounds plus a cut (despite being dead tired). It feels like a much more complete experience with things really coming down to the wire.

The funny this was I was sweating the top 8 with 28 points and didnt realize I was within a point of you guys until just now. I definitely agree that the 4 rounds makes a huge difference. I was in the middle in the pack after game 3 but pulled out a 9-1 at the end which shot me back up.
