I've tried the mindlink Manaroo Palob team with both Talonbane and Kavil. I don't know that either really fills the gap. So, I thought of this. The Tensarri Vets make the list a bit more pillow-fisted. I haven't played it yet.

To build this I had to drop the unhinged astromech droid off of Manaroo. Would it be better to drop moldy crow on Palob and have the unhinged on Manaroo, or keep Moldy. In my most recent matches, Palob usually winds up with 5+ focus at his destruction. I'm obviously generating enough focus through out a game, but I'm not sure I could generate enough each turn to feed him properly.

Thoughts?

In an Attanni build with Manaroo I think Moldy Crow is just overkill. You can potentially get 4 focuses on Palob in a turn (Manaroo focus, Palob focus, Manaroo pass focus, Palob steals focus) and You will always be able to have at least two.

As for fills, I like the idea of Tansariis, would have to try them out. At the moment I'm playing Guri with Mindlink+AT and find her really good in the combo for even more focus shenanigans

Agree that Moldy Crow is probably unnecessary. Putting cloaking device on palob is much more important - lets him get in close while being harder to kill. With 1 point left (dropping crow and adding cloak) you could put Unhinged Astromech on Manaroo - it pairs very well with the K4.

I'll try the closing device version. I suspect that with Kavil and/or Cobra being sidelined, Palob will be the first target. Cloaking device can help extend his life when needed.

Ive been using Guri with Autothrusters, Mindlink, Advanced Sensors and the title in place of your sycks. It's very shenanigany.

I also agree that MC is probably a bit of an overkill, especially since it comes at the expense of the UA on Manaroo. The number of times that little droid has let me take a vital green maneuver is insane. Looks like a fun list!

I've thought about trying Guri in that spot.

Thanks for the feedback. No Moldy for this crow.

Mindlink has become my favorite list, it's what I bring to the tournaments at my local store now! I fly manaroo as a Bumpmaster, and palob. I tried moldy crow on palob and found it was a pricey overkill. The 3rd ship was n'dru. One game he one shotted a ywing!... but all other games he was either one shotted himself or was too close to friends to be anything more then a regular z. I took him out and added Guri, and she definitely adds the consistent punch the squad lacked, as well as remaining survivable. She ate 4 torps from a Uboat list and still survived. Plus having her on the board increases the chances of the whole squad receiving focuses. Generally, manaroo does a green, receives a tl, then barrel rolls. Guri moves, then boosts or barrel role to get into range 1. Then palob moves and tls. If palob can't steal a focus, Guri gets one for being in range 1, then manaroo gives Guri a second focus and a tl. Range 1 shot from Guri, plus tl and focus generally equals much hate against her. But she defends with the 2nd focus, sensor jammer, and auto thrusters. She's the gem of the squad, or in this case, a beautiful but sharp diamond ^_^

I like your comments, thank you. I've found, Dengar on Palob cancels out the need for tl. I usually barrel roll Manaroo, as you say. Since Palob and Guri are the same PS, you should have Palob go first and have him focus. Then Guri goes, focus actions her self, and if at range 1 gets the free focus. Then have Manaroo drop focus and tl on Guri. She'll be sitting with 4 focus and a tl on a range 1 target. Palob should be sitting at 2, or no enemies are using evade and focus tokens. And Manaroo has one.

I've tried it with Talonbane. He was incredibly for the one or two shots he got. Sadly, to this point, Palob has been my heavy hitter.

I'm going to try the Tensarri vets for a few games, but I will honestly say, I'm giddy about putting Guri into this.

If you're going with Vets, may I suggest you drop one of them for Kaa'to?

Slap AM on him and save yourself some precious points while giving yourself a 3rd engine which has more HP.

With Moldy Crow out, that's more points you get to gear the rest of the squad also.

Yes, this generates a lot of focus tokens but your only real threat is Palob's TLT. Once that's gone it's over.

Mindlink works best on Brobots, or Dengar in place of one Brobot.

It's also not bad on Mangler Tansarii's. But if you're not running cannons on the TPV's you're kind of wasting points.

Indeed, that's been a big part of the problem. I figure Palob should be the medium hitter and whomever is in the third spot should be my heavy. I consider any damage from Manaroo a boon.

Mindlinked TPV's end up with a focus and an evade each turn. That makes them harder to pin down but with the opportunity deal some damage.

I am considering the Katoo option.

M3-A Interceptors will get their much needed fix. Don't lose faith in them yet.

I've been flirting with that same list... M3-A Vets with Mindlink for the Evade / Focus every turn. But I have the same problem, there's no punch to it.

I think M3-As will get a fix soon, probably in a Scum Aces set. We'll get a fix that puts them on par with Tie fighters as a possible 2 attack 3 agility spam-able ship like the Tie Fighter. They may even do a fix like the did the Defender... two titles --- one to customize it as an interceptor with boosts and another title to lower the cost a point or two.

The M3A, in my opinion, is the scum tie fighter, just doesn't have as good of a dial. I think not having a Howlrunner like ace to improve overall attacks, prevents them from being deployed in a named swarm. Though, I've flown Zed's in a swarm and always been shocked and surprised at their damage output and their survivability. I just don't get why the M3A doesn't perform as well as the zed...

If the m3a had a natural boost, allowing them to take autothrusters, that would be a significant fix.
