How many people would be interested in a 3 figure expansion that had miniatures for the three droid companions introduced in the Bespin small box expansion? They could have the necessary items required to play them included as well as maybe their own skirmish cards to give the scum and rebel factions some new support options, though maybe the spy droid could be used by the Empire so that all the factions got something in the pack.
Companion Pack
But then how would they enter the same space as a figure? If anything, they should've made R2-D2 a companion (token) to 3PO. Just for consistency.
Obviously though FFG didn't think that far ahead.
Edited by patrickmahanPersonally, I dont care. It would just settle my urge for figures without me buying more R2's to paint differently. So, yes, I would definitely buy it.
Not at all. I think using figures for companions will add a level of confusion that doesn't need to be there.
I mean to be fair, I kinda just mostly want to paint up a bunch of R5 astromechs, seeing as I already have 8 or so R2 repaints. An I understand the issues it might provide considering the companion rules, so it could include the tokens again, but it is also why I said they could make standard skirmish cards either for one faction or one droid per faction.
I'm using old Star Wars Mini's figures, the Astromechs/droids were the only figures kinda painted well.
I've bought a couple of their old R4 and R5 astromechs, but they are just a little too out of scale for me...especially after FFG released their R2 and 3PO expansion, which I've bought my fair share of.
This is my solution to replace the tokens.

Do you use blu-tack when they share a space with a figure?
Obvious solution is to used a Gonk droid as the junk droid, so that you could just have them easily stack.
