I worry about myself sometimes...

You might be a Star Wars Fanatic, if you have recently taken pictures of your loot from going to Disneyland a second time, and things like the following were included:

A Wookiee sweatshirt/hoodie, an R2-D2 t-shirt, a Han Solo t-shirt, a Jedi Bathrobe, a Luke Skywalker RotJ green Lightsaber (light-up/sound model), and a Luke ANH Blue Lightsaber Umbrella:

Keychains and nametags in Aurebesh:

You might be a Star Wars Fanatic, if your biggest purchase yet is an official limited edition replica of the helmet that Wedge Antilles wore in ESB (number 560 out of 750):

And you’re debating over which image to start using as your preferred profile picture:

Lookin' good there, Brad!

somehow that hawaii shirt works really well with that helemet.

I think the things I like most about gamer guys is a) their individuality, and b) an absolute lack of concern about what others think about their individuality.

And I've had players turn up for games in ballgowns, in fancy dress costumes, and in nothing at all. :)

And my beard is demoted to #2 for "most Grizzley Adams-like." Dang it.

Oh, this is my beard at nearly the shortest it gets. I trimmed it heavily before coming out here to a client gig in Anaheim, CA.

Turns out my wife doesn’t like the “Mountain Man” look, so I probably will be trimming it more often in the future than I have done recently.

So, you’re welcome to let yours grow some more, and then you can take back the lead in that contest.

I won’t be joining the Austin Facial Hair Club [1] any time soon.

So, the thing I found out about this helmet is that it makes it hard to see, because the bottom part of the visor that curves back inwards happens to be right about the same height as my eyes, so it seriously distorts your visual perception.

It’s also pretty uncomfortable to wear, especially with glasses. Among other things, the bottom of the visor comes in contact with your nose, and that’s hard plastic on skin. And no, the visor doesn’t raise up out of the way (like a real pilot helmet does).

Oddly, although I just bought it yesterday, on the ear muffs inside of the helmet the leather is already starting to crack and peel, like headphones that are several years old. I may take those out.

So, this is much more of a display unit that can technically be put on the head of a real human being. But not something to actually wear on any frequency.

Now I’m kinda glad that the Disney folks wouldn’t let me wear it around the park even though my face wouldn’t really be obscured. That would have been seriously uncomfortable, as opposed to the pain of walking back to the hotel with this surprisingly honking big box in my arms.

Sigh…. I guess I’ll have to see if I can make one that looks much the same (or maybe more like Luke’s helmet), but is more comfortable to wear.

This is the same as myself, except I have 2 copies of each of the core books (I loan them to the players from time to time so I like to keep a copy for myself), I also have two copies of Desperate Allies (mistake here, bought one in a shop and forgot I had pre-ordered on Amazon). A load of specialization cards, all the opponent cards, the crit injury and critical hit cards. 2 each of the beginner games (I bought my players a set of dice each, and this was actually the cheapest way to get the dice) this also doubles as a "basic" set of the rules to give to the players to help them learn how to play.

All the GM kits (including 2 of F&D, I ordered one but got 2 delivered), I have given this and the F&D spare core book to another player in the group, who is an experienced D20 GM (DnD and the previous Star Wars RPG), who is starting a campaign and giving me a chance to play for a change.

So does this class me as obsessive.

Sir, you may call your set of books what you will. Either way, approval is 100%.

(My own collection is close behind)

2 of each corebook?

Obsessive behavior confirmed. Sorry, but we others stand on the edge of the abyss to madness, you are one step ahead of us.

My wife would agree

Mine keeps buying those book faster than we can read them. She might be another case who is one step ahead. Maybe I should stop encouraging her. Nah. :D

At one point I ended up with three copies of F&D due to a miscommunication with the local FLGS.

It happened to coincide with a local book shortage and a friend's bday, though, so it all worked out in the end.

In the past I've doubled up on particular books so they can be availabel to multiple players during a session, but since most of the rules content between EoE, AoR, and F&D is the same, I haven't felt the need to do so with this system.

That sounds amazing. :D

Of course, I'd probably be the dude who shows up in a balaclava, robes, a respirator mask, and bulky goggles. Being in character for this game would make it hard to see and I'd probably get heat exhaustion.

I was supposed to have two copies of all the hardback books, but the eBay deal I splurged on turned out to be a turkey. They shipped me the softback non-FFG books, but none of the hardback FFG books.

I’m starting to wonder if the party here on the forums who was trying to help sell his friends books that they had bought him was all a scam….

Nothing at all? that would be... distracting.

In all the wrong ways. He wasn't bad-looking, but I made him put some pants on, for the sake of the other players...

I'm glad my dad is my GM or I would now be forever worried that the guy sitting next to me might be naked and I wouldn't know it.

Oh, man. I'm sorry to hear that.

Don't worry, you're not missing anything Haley :)

That guy was/is nothing but a scam. He had/has at least 3 different user names here, and tried to play it off, but kept getting them confused. I think he is just confused. I'm sorry to hear you got scammed, but I would never knowingly do business with anyone like that. If he has to keep lying about who he is, I can't imagine what he would for money.

I hope eBay will help you get your money back.

As long as you appeal it within their window of opportunity, Ebay and PayPal will certainly help get your money back.

I remember that thread. Even went as far as checking out the ebay page. So you are not alone.

Second the idea of contacting ebay/paypal to see what remedies are available.
