Id like to get a proper figure to replace the Margath counter and was wondering if the Battlelore Great Dragon would work. Im not sure how big this model is but my hope is that the hex base might match the Runebound board.

Any suggestions?

The dragon's base is a bit larger than RB hexes; it shouldn't be so impossible to use it as a proxy, tho, unless you're a superpurist and want the whole mini to be contained in exactly one hex.

Back home, I measured the two:

- the diagonal of the basis of the Dragon is 5.3 cm

- the diagonal of a hex on the board is 4.4 cm

so, there's a 0.9 cm overlapping of the mini bigger than the hex. I took a couple of pictures and upped them in my gallery on BGG ( here and here ) so that you can see if the proportions are ok (sorry for the picture quality, but the color of the mini is not the best to work with with the evening light. Still, it should fit the purpose)
