A Thanks to you on this Memorial Day Weekend

By Cubanboy, in X-Wing

A Big thanks to those whose family give up someone or ones, to keep America Safe and continue to do so. (also to those in other countries that do the same)

Personally with my Family, my Older brother has done 8 Tours within the Middle East, he has seen a couple of his friends die, and just this week he was promotion to E6. He has a couple left for 20 years of service, my little brother was in the Army for a short time, then was injured (full recovery) and My Grandfather who was a Major is resting in Arlington National Cemetery, my family Celebrates a lot on Holidays such as these and we Honor everyone else that does the same.

Thank you friends who share in life and loss as part of service to countries and kings.

No servicemen in my close circle of relatives now. I agree 100% with you. Now there are people watching their steps near a minefield of sweeting while refueling a plane and executing a miriad of task not very often rewarded by our society.

Carry on, and thanks again.

No offense, but this is an international message board. If you want to post about American holidays I suggest you do it somewhere else. The off topic board is a good place to start.

While I happen to agree with you, I've got to also say that complaining about "off topic" posts is completely pointless.

What's worse is when people make ON-TOPIC posts in the off-topic section. Why would someone, for example, feel the need to post "Are you excited for the next wave of X-Wing ships?" in the OFF TOPIC section? #firstworldproblems

Ok I understand this and will adhere to off topic, Normally I don't hear much complaining about posting in the main forum but I don't want to rock the boat so no problem going forward

Totally agree with the sentiment of this post but, wow, massive respect and thanks to your brother.

Today I'll go down to the Vietnam Memorial and see my uncle's name again. My mom still won't go down. It's weird that it's a joyous and painful national holiday.

Well it's not off topic. It is an American company. You wouldn't be playing this great game if it wasn't for the Veterans of this country.

Political or religious posts should not have a place here.

No offense, but this is an American message board, hosted by an American company, about an American game, based on an American movie series.

That being said, this does belong in off topic.

Of course it's off topic, it has nothing to do with the game. Even discussing the movies themselves is off topic.

But who cares. Leave the moderating to the moderators.

Aimed at an international audience.

But Cubanboy was considerate enough to include all veterans of all nations and making it broader than just a single country, for which I thank him.

People are too quick to take offense.

If you think that investing one minute of your time to remember those who lost their lives in WW1, WW2, etc, is a waste because you want to read about Defender X, perhaps you should think about your prorities in.your life.

While we are drinking our coffe in this Sunday morning, there are people out there searching if that pile of rubish is simply that, or one IED.
