Yep that will be my first go to list, followed by a Trando strain list with Under Duress.

I might also try the 4x elite trooper list but I'm in no rush to buy a second bespin box just for 1 card.

You could always borrow a friend's card.

Love the list, would like to hear your feelings on Wing Guards vs Stormies.

I can't remember what forum / facebook post I used already but my strong opinion is that Wing Guard are better than Stormies (i'm talking about the elite versions).

From personal experience, I almost never use the stormtrooper range ability. Usually a reroll will cover me for range (since the worst blue dice results are also the lowest range results) and most of the time I'm shooting at range 3-5 anyway with 3 being the blue/green minimum range.

Therefore having a recover 2 instead of +3 acc is far more useful. Not many things one shot stormtroopers. Recover 2 on an attack is flat out better than a snowtrooper single heal which takes up an action.
The strain ability is far more useful when you can heal the damage it causes to yourself.

They both have the squad training rerolls, same health, defense, speed and cost.

They only thing the wing guard lose is the focus when a trooper dies. I don't think that's a huge deal. It's one extra focus. It's usually only 1 extra damage. An extra surge for a stormtrooper is useless.

Also, an ability that requires you to lose figures is nothing more than a consolation prize. I'll take a living trooper over a dead one and a focus any day.

Yes it's a nice thing to have but Elite stormtroopers are still amazing value even without Last Stand. The wing guard are the same value but with a heal ability.

I'm thinking deploy the troopers in split groups of 3 so that it's harder to take out a single group and to spread the Keep the Peace ability. Also considering dropping Focus for Change of Plans, with 3 groups of troopers it could provide some flexibility. Also like the idea of Strength in Numbers, use an Officer to move Bossk into position to both attack and Indiscriminate Fire. Super situational but man it'd be sweet.
