Has the prize support for Nationals been announced yet? Kinda weird, with the US Nationals only two weeks away that the level of support is still unknown. Trying to decide if I want to go or not, and a part of that is official prize support.
Nationals Prize Support? Still unknown?
It's hard to figure out what the precedence is for when they announce this stuff, as there hasn't been a US Nationals before. In previous years, the 'Nationals' prizes don't get announced; the NA Championship ones did roughly a month before GenCon. I imagine FFG never annoucned Nationals prizes because they weren't the ones running the National level tournaments, those other events just used their prizes for NA Championships? At least I can't find any Nationals prize announcements in the news archives, just GenCon NA Championship ones. It is definitely odd there's been no word about the prize support this close though, or even any kind of word about whether the prizes for Nationals at Origins and NA Championship at GenCon will be the same or different.

Prior to this year, the Gencon prize support has always been identical to the prize support at other Nationals (e.g. the Canadian, Russian, and UK Nationals have had the same prize support as Gencon), as Gencon was basically treated like another Nationals events even though it's the North American Championship (instead of the US Championship).
I guess there's a question this year as to whether Gencon will have different prize support now that Origins is the US Nationals, but I suspect Gencon will have the same prize support as Origins and other Nationals. I guess time will tell.
Yea I'm expecting this and the worlds announcement tomorrow. Would make sense to do that at the same time and they said they would announce worlds info end of May, and that's tomorrow.

Heh, it's not like FFG has ever missed a deadline they set themselves
But yea, if true could be a big exciting day of announcements tomorrow!! I hope so!!

I guess maybe I wasn't being clear but that's all pretty much what I was trying to say. A possible point in favor of "Continental" Championships having different prize support going forward is that starting next year there'll be a European Championship too, so there'll be more than one event in the class, and GenCon's NA Championship is no longer essentially going to be US Nationals.
Well, US Nationals isn't sold out yet so I would think that making a post about it would be the best way to get people to fill in those last slots. Origins is not even close to GenCon in size or notoriety so I would hazard a guess that a lot of people don't even know that the event is going on.
Prize support announcement? We haven't even had our national date announced yet!!!
Do National champions get all expenses paid to go to World's?

No, not in the past and I highly doubt this year.
I am honestly very curious about the prize support. its now a week from US Nationals, and they havent even posted a "get ready!" article or anything.

I know. I have asked on Facebook and Twitter in the last 2 days and have gotten no response.
What makes it more perplexing, is that they did no hype for the event and now pre-reg is closed. So anyone who sees the prize support and says "IMA GET ME SOME OF THEM TOKENS" has to go to origins and hope there are spots open.
Gencon and the NA championship is obviously the bigger importance, but still would be nice to know what I am going to compete for before I leave on Thursday. Also had a lot of people i have spoken to who didn't even know it was nationals.
But, OP does a TON of work with very little so I understand why they aren't the timeliest.

Take with salt of course
Personally, if accurate I find it rather underwhelming and I can't find a reason it wasn't announced ahead of time.
