At the start of combat I activated Countermeaures and popped Glitterstim. Goodbye Vaders TL. Vader rolls 3 dice, 2 hits. I roll blank, focus, evade. Two hits evaded. I shoot back at a range 1 out of arc Vader, 2 hits, spend TL, 4 hits. He has a focus and rolls blank, focus, evade. I use Zuckuss to force him to re-roll evade and focus, blank and evade. 4 hits vs 1 evade and an already shieldless Vader goes down. It's Jax turn, he has 2 Hull left. My opponent thinks and thinks and passes on his range 1, 4 dice focused shot due to the petrifying fear of Dengars ability and the retribution of his onboard R5-P8. This is the joy of Dengar, and why I love flying him. Happy hunting and Fly Casual.

Sounds like you're just copying Jeff B's Dengar, basically.

Copying something good isn't any bad. Creating something good is great, but not everyone get joy from list/combo building.

And Dengar has some options. Great design.

I just played Dengar the other night for the first time and I was also extremely pleased. His ability can be bonkers and the JM5000 is a great ship with a great dial. The trouble comes from deciding on Dengar crew or Pilot because both are awesome!

I thought you were one of the ones going on about net decking and how you shouldn't do it. How it is so much better to make your own list and win with that. Looks like you went to the regional post and saw that Jeff B and Ben took 1st and top 4 at the ohio regional and decided to use that combo instead of creating your own.

Yeah I love how forever it will be "Jeff's Dengar". Everyone just assumes everyone knows this guy, Jeff.

To be fair, Jeff B makes most people's short list of "best X-Wing players in the world," and he's pretty renowned for his zany builds. It's kinda his schtick.

Currently playing around with a Dengar and Bossk list which is fun, only got a few games with it so far but I am enjoying it.

Yeah, but then I'd have to buy the Hounds Tooth. Maybe that would be reason enough to try it.

Iggy B with Mindlink, FCS, HLC, Feedback Array, Autothrusters.

Dengar with Punishing One, Mindlink, R5-P8, and Gonk?

Do we put Feedback on Dengar since he has regen and the power to sometimes convince your opponent to not fire at him?

I run Mindlink brobots, but replacing one with a turret means it can clear stress and still fire at things behind it, or even just keep the stress and white sloop.

Seems doable. With R5-P8 and your double tap you have some decent ace hunting capabilities. Maybe swap out Gonk for 4-LOM crew to further increase your anti-ace capabilities and gain a 1 point initiative bid?
