no actions while you have stress, even no free actions. You have to clear the stress first before you can use BB8 again

(The flip side of this is that if you have Push the Limit and start the turn unstressed, you can PtL another action off the BB-8 barrel roll, gaining a stress, which you then immediately clear by performing the green maneuver you revealed to trigger BB-8.)

You can not take actions even free ones while stressed. You'll still be stressed.

Note also that you don't clear the stress until AFTER you execute the manoeuvre.

Yeah had this pop up a few days ago at my FLGS. The wording in the rulebook makes it no debate though.

Stress prevents any actual action, free or otherwise. Assigning tokens is fine.

Green maneuvers do not remove stress upon revealing your dial like we always thought, it removes after you perform the maneuver. Which is after BB-8 triggers, so he cant trigger.

It makes dealing with that extremely elusive and awesome Blue-Ace a lot easier if you can stress him out. Man he moves with BB-8 on him lol

1. Reveal Dial

==> BB-8 triggers, have you got stress tokens? Yes, then no free barrel roll action.

2. Execute manoeuvre

2a. Move ship

2b. Check Pilot Stress

==> Have you got stress tokens? Yes, but because the manoeuvre was green, you get to remove ONE token.

2c. Clean up

3. Perform Action

==> Have you still got a stress token? Yes, then still no action.

End of activation for that ship.

It's that simple.
