adding/removing H&M packs mid-campaign

By The Cocky Rooster, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Im typing this on my xbox one so excuse the syntax please.

im in the process of getting me complete descent collection professionally painted. Lieutenants come back on Monday!

my question is I wonder if i can add and remove components mid Kindred Fire campaign to have them sent out to be painted? And then add them back in and send the next batch, rinse and repeat.

itll be a bummer if not.

cheers

Good question, but since nobody knows an ETA for Kindred Fire, you may get the painted lieutenants returned in time anyways! You could always add them at the start and roll the dice that they don't show up...

True I doubt KF will out before next Thursday.

It would good if I could send out my expansions as well and avoid the side quests until the minis come back but I think that would be asking too much.

I just ran a test to see what would happen if I tried to load a campaign that had heroes from an expansion that I removed after creating the campaign. It would not let me load the campaign without having those expansions in my collection. My guess is you can add or remove expansions and it will incorporate them into the game but once you are using a component of that expansion (hero/class/shop card) it will not allow you to start the game if the expansion is not present in your collection.

In the free app, if I start a campaign with a full collection, save my game using some of those items (like a hero), then remove items from my collection, it refuses to load the campaign until I have place those items back in my collection. I don't see why it would be different with kindred fire.

thanks guys. i guess ill have to proxy the minis if they come up while being painted

Did you try that? And if yes: why? (just me being curious...)

I tried loading my collection then starting and saving the campaign. Then I quit and removed a h&m pack the save file wouldn't load. So the state is saved and cant be changed once the game starts. But contents can be added after starting the campaign.
