Hey all.
First time posting in off-topic, but I had ran a session of the old Star Wars RPG Saga edition this past weekend, and wow, what fun that was.
The group consisted of a Twilek Noble, Trandosian Soldier, Droid Soldier (HK-47-like), Human Jedi, and a Twilek Jedi.
The Era we are in is 500-600 yrs BBY, so having that many Jedi is okay.
Anyways, the group had followed the trail of a stolen republic shipment of goods to a heavily guarded warehouse in the under city of Coruscant. After sneaking up on the facility, they stole aboard the freighter that was being loaded with goods and crippled it's ability to leave, and then proceeded to head to the warehouse proper. The two Jedi in typical fashion ordered the doors be opened, but when they didn't they then used their lightsabers to cut an opening in the door (Hey, we gave you warnings!). A fight broke out and they pushed inside. Just when they were getting to a sealed room, the door opened up and a heavily cloaked woman emerged, snarled a warning and threat that they shouldn't have interfered and ignited her Lightsaber.
The hush that fell across the game room was inspiring for me. I knew I made an impact on them. But more so, the group is all level one, so that also could have scared the poop out of them too (OMG WE'RE GOING TO DIE???). But just as the Sith uttered the threat, the Human Jedi's master got into the sealed room from the other side (the two jedi arrived with their master - a Nautolan Jedi Knight named Makuta Kando). A fight broke out with the remaining guards and the Sith. The Sith focused more on the Knight than the players, as with a massive difference in level could have been a TPK (Total Player Kill) scenario.
The Sith took off running out of the warehouse, but without wanting to make a HUGE scene Master Kando decided that it's best to secure the republic items in the warehouse, and let her go. He warned his apprentice (The human Jedi) that she is too powerful a foe for them, and to let her go, but the young jedi didn't want to hear it and gave chase along with the Trandosian soldier. The sith was too fast though, and got to her ship, but the jedi didn't give up. Focusing his strength and calling on the force he lifted the fighter up into the air (DC 30 Use the Force check, and he rolled an 18 +12 from skills is 30)... He got it on the button... The ship was heavy and he had wanted to move it more buy couldn't, so instead he let it drop off the side of the platform.
The ship and the Sith fell... The players watched from the side of the walkway as the Sith (rolling a 1 on her pilot check) failed to start the fighter in time and leaped from the open cockpit before the ship impacted a standing building below. Last they saw was the Sith jumping out before vanishing into the distance behind the building and wreckage...
So....
What do you guys think?
I am still new to the WHOLE lore aspect of starwars, and I know I am going to make glaring mistakes in how things operate, but that's okay. We're going more for effect as we just want to enjoy the universe.
Next session the group is going to investigate that room in the warehouse.
How do you think I should proceed with everything? Master kando isn't going to be happy with his apprentice for not listnening and running after the sith (they don't know she's sith as all sith are believed to be gone - right?)
