Eh i dont really see a point in trip ion defenders but i sure as hell see one for 2tractor 1ion or viceversa.

Theyre all firing at the same PS and per the rules, simo fire only comes in if the target could shoot but died from initiative. Tractors fire first, pulling/rolling into a more favorable position and docking agi for the ion users.

Trip deltas with TIE/D, 2Tractor, 1 Ion, would be 95pts. 5pts to throw around (probably mk2 engines or a hull upgrade on the tie/d)

main reason i wont do that: i will fire DEAD LAST every turn. Yeah...no...3agi isnt going to keep them alive for long.

Had a player run 3 /x7 Defenders at our last store event before the Regionals (we didn't know if Imp Vets was going to be out before regionals, so did a test event that allowed it).

It was...3x Onyx + Stealth Device.

You get the evade token any time you PLOT a speed 3 or higher, so...doesn't matter if you bump, or are stressed, you still get it. Normally he'd complete the maneuver, of course, and do a focus action, too. So each fighter is 6 health behind 4 agility with a focus and evade every turn.

That's...surprisingly hard to kill. Even if it does shoot last, it is **** near guaranteed to survive that long, and with a PS that low, it also works very effectively as a blocker.

You are basically limited to the base 3 attack, unmodified (generally needing to use the focus on defense), so it doesn't put out a lot of damage, but...it's very hard to kill.

Meanwhile in the UK, we never even see those prices in pounds. Small ships almost never drop below £10.80=$15.80. Lowest I ever remember seeing is £9.50=$14.

You just need to plan a trip to Disney and then swing by Cool stuff.

I am kind of curious how they can do this, however - with the new(ish) developments with Asmodee, how can they offer such deep discounts online and if it's because it's a sale, why can't they run a sale 24/7?

I thought that with Asmodee, it wasn't a minimum price, it's just that they were getting a smaller discount. So it's possible that they're selling these ships at or below cost.

(Which worked, I had to throw in some more stuff to get my order up to the minimum amount for free shipping. )

Yeah it is up to them to take a profit hit in favor of moving stock at a lower return. Good news extra style good ole Mini Mart has also felt the burn on these **** $12 ships.

I just noticed today that when MM redid their entire site they also lowered their prices on small ships. Now they are running a regular price o $10'ish, rather than twelve'ish.

If not buying into Scum, you'll want to play with Autothrusters (it comes in the StarViper pack, not sure what else). And also consider dropping the Firespray for a Decimator, instead. The Scum pilot versions of the Firespray are much better than the Imperials

If not getting the Imperial Raider (or proxying cards - okay for home use, not okay for tournament use), don't bother with the TIE Advanced. It needs the cards in the Raider BADLY in order to be competitive. I'd actually recommend the Inquisitor's TIE over the TIE Advanced (although it's not included in the sale) - just a much, much better and more well-rounded fighter (at least, without the Raider...with the Raider cards, the TIE Advanced comes into its own).

For the Empire, the Lambda-class shuttle is pretty handy - IMHO, I'd get that over the Firespray, unless you are a huge fan of Fett. (And that also provides another reason to get the Imperial Raider - the Emperor that comes in the Raider is a natural fit on the Shuttle).

I see that the Gozanti (Imperial Assault Carrier) *IS* included in the sale. IMHO, I'd try to find a way to get that in. Epic-scale matches are a heck of a lot of fun, and it's great to have big parts of the (fantastic) 'Rebels' TV series on the table...

Gozanti if you dont have one would be a really dumb passup. Thats a big price cut on him, and Wampa comes in there (Youngster too but currently no real point in him). Its also a pretty good ship for epic, i was tempted to snag a 2nd one so i could run 2 in epic but i'd rather run a raider just because cool factor > optimization.

As mentioned before, avoid the TIE Adv if you arent getting a raider. Not even Vader is all that great unless he has at least the title card in that kit, if not both cards for the advance.

Not sure why you'd want 3x starter boxes. I cant think of any repeats in there worth having, since the main card you want out of there is unique anyway. I have 1 of each starter and i really dont see any reason, rebel or imperial, to buy another. Regardless though, even if you dont want scum, get at least a Starviper because that gives you 2 autothrustors and you WANT THOSE UPGRADES lol. Mist Hunter isnt bad either if you want tractors/electronic baffles, but thats more specific-list stuff while authothrustors is pretty **** broadly adored.

I already had one of each core and picked up one more of each on this sale. It is three more ships for under twenty bucks. If you just want stuff for tourney lists you're good at one or two core but to get enough ships to field for two players "flying casual" at home grabbing cores at that cheap is too big a bargain to pass up. And I wanted a Vader even if he isn't all that.

Oh for casual play yeah anything goes, especially when youre collecting for multiple people.

i live alone. So i have nobody to play it with unless i goto the FLGS. Snagged a few people into the game by letting them play with my ships, but when just 1 of everything it does tend to eat up the good cards quick lol
