Gozanti if you dont have one would be a really dumb passup. Thats a big price cut on him, and Wampa comes in there (Youngster too but currently no real point in him). Its also a pretty good ship for epic, i was tempted to snag a 2nd one so i could run 2 in epic but i'd rather run a raider just because cool factor > optimization.

As mentioned before, avoid the TIE Adv if you arent getting a raider. Not even Vader is all that great unless he has at least the title card in that kit, if not both cards for the advance.

Not sure why you'd want 3x starter boxes. I cant think of any repeats in there worth having, since the main card you want out of there is unique anyway. I have 1 of each starter and i really dont see any reason, rebel or imperial, to buy another. Regardless though, even if you dont want scum, get at least a Starviper because that gives you 2 autothrustors and you WANT THOSE UPGRADES lol. Mist Hunter isnt bad either if you want tractors/electronic baffles, but thats more specific-list stuff while authothrustors is pretty **** broadly adored.

I didn't buy three core sets at once. I happened on two of original on final clearance at target. I swiped them up at like $13 each. Then I recently purchased the Force Awakens core set on sale at CSI for $17.99.

So I don't really run the Tie Advanced. Should I still look into the Raider?

until they release something that completely shuts down the palpmobile, and you can justify the 100 bucks for the raider, get it for that reason alone. The cards in there make TIE Advances pretty good too but except for Vader or Juno they arent super amazing, just good.

I'd recommend reconsidering and getting into Scum. It's great, and they have done an excellent job with that faction. Plus, there's awesome upgrade cards.

Either way, get the Decimator. So happy I got it, it's a fun ship.

Rebel transport comes with a bunch of great Astromech cards, a t-65, and great pilots for same.

And it has the 'Jam' action natively, which is a heck of a lot of fun in Epic. Combine that with the 'Dutyfree' title (can Jam out to range 3), 'Frequency Jammer' cargo (adds a stress token to another ship at range 1 of a ship you just jammed), and sometimes slicer tools (do a point of damage to ships within range 3 that have stress tokens - as many ships as you have energy to spend on it)....you can do a LOT of harm to an enemy list that they can't really do anything about.

Lemme tell ya...Soontir Fel (or, heck, any PtL-ing Ace pilot) does not like being in the same game as a ship with Slicer Tools.

Not like it takes away Soontir's stealth since its not a hit but 3 turns at range3 hes done. Range3 is one hell of a hard bubble to avoid lol.

My rebel faction is lagging. I don't have 2 of any large base rebel ship yet, but they are all iconic and don't feel like there should be two. With the Slave 1 at least there are two titles, and I can build some fun scum lists since I don't feel like this ship belongs with the Empire.

As others lamented, I wish that Rebel Aces had been on sale. I would have updated my choices if it had been.

Funny, Miniature Market had a brief sale at the same time. I got aces, starviper, and most wanted at throw back prices. Then I found out about CSI sale. Hmm, I couldn't get up to the free shipping, so only went over a few bucks on CSI prices. I'll remember that I don't need any more starships, maybe next time.

Fantastic, my roommate and I are just getting into X-wing and I get paid on Thursday, I want to say that I'll spend my paycheck responsibly, but that one comic comes to mind where the whole room is full of minis with the caption "mistakes were made"... Ah well, still cheaper to get into than most other mini-based games

Really good to know! Will bide my time (and money) for these semi-annual splurges! The small base ships are all pretty much 50% of SRV, amazing way to justify the habit!

So, i just got lucky at my flgs. DIdnt have a game but hoped someone would show up to play (did, 1 lol) so i went there after work.

Somebody apparently is really tight for cash and made a big mistake in buying into xwing. So he sold his kwing, rebel aces, a-wing, and regular starter box back to the store for like 40 bucks for them all (yea...i question why he got them to begin with). Anyway, Kwing/Awing was unopened, rebel aces was opened but not broken down or anything removed, and i didnt want the starterbox anyway. Got a kwing and a 15buck rebel aces and another Awing. Kwing being the main thing. Saw it hanging on the wall and went "uh...wat? whered that come from? MINE! ALL MINE! GIMIE! GIMMIE!!!" lol
