UN-marking a forum as "read"

By Stoneface, in X-Wing

Ok, somehow I managed to mark the painting and mod forum as read. Anybody know how to un-mark it?

Thanks!

Ummmmm click on every thread and actually read each of hundreds of threads....

Man the ignorance of some people amazes me.

Seriously though I would like the solution to this as well.

The problem is changes were made that I don't remember making. Like adding people to my ignore list. I never went there before tonight. Some other odd things as well but the "marked as read" problem is all on me.

There is no way to "unmark" threads, once a thread is considered "read" the forum software doesn't remember whether it was read by clucking the title or the "mark all read" link.

Essentially, the "mark all as read" links are the same thing as going through and opening every page of every thread in that forum individually, just faster.

I use it all the time.

As new posts get made, of course, threads will start showing up as unread again, but if you click the "take me to the first unread post" button, it will still skip any posts that predated hitting "mark all as read".

Great! My bad aim strikes again. :-(
