Cruel Bantha Strategies... or a Bantha Too Far!

By matthewjksullivan, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

I've been most impressed with the strategic capabilities of Banthas. Not only their destructive capabilities, but also their strategic value: they can shove opponents out of the way and literally sit on Terminals or other skirmish objectives.

Anyway, I've recently written 2 battle reports (with painted miniatures and scenery) regarding Banthas:

The searing triumph of the Bantha:

And an apocalyptic battle between Banthas and Wookies:

Sweet articles. One comment--your use of two Jundland Terrors in a single timing instance was invalid!

This came up in a game yesterday and we consulted the skirmish rulebook and under command cards it said there was no limit so we let it fly.

Where does it say you can't play the same command card twice?

You cannot play the card of the same name twice in the same timing instance. You can't play two Reinforcements during the same start of round and not two Jundland Terrors in the same end of round.

· A player cannot play multiple copies of the same Command card at the same time.

Awesome. :) Good to know. Guess we didn't check the RRG. Maybe I would have won last night then as I had a lone trooper waiting to be reinforced, but he was double jundlanded by a tusken. :(

The tricky part is knowing when the cards trigger.

All end of round and start of round cards (for Player A) trigger at the same time (end of round or start of round), and then you resolve them in whatever order you want. This means you can't use 2x Jungland or Reinforcements from the same trigger.
