My regionals list.

By Icelom, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Here is what I am currently planning to fly:

TIE Avanced Prototype: · The Inquisitor (25)

Push The Limit (3)

Autothrusters (2)

TIE/v1 (1)

TIE/fo Fighter: · "Zeta Leader" (20)

Juke (2)

Comm Relay (3)

TIE Fighter: · "Wampa" (14)

TIE Advanced: · Darth Vader (29)

Adaptability (Increase) (0)

TIE/x1 (0)

Advanced Targeting Computer (1)

-- TOTAL ------- 100/100p. --

I like it allot.a and have flown different variations alot. However in testing against a friend's ghost Biggs list it was running 50% now Mt friend is good so that's not bad but %50 is not ideal.

So for a bit of a change in some practice matches yesterday I flew this:

TIE Avanced Prototype: Baron of the Empire (19)

Crack Shot (1)

Concussion Missiles (4)

Guidance Chips (0)

TIE/v1 (1)

TIE Avanced Prototype: Baron of the Empire (19)

And in 2 games I tore him apart. What I want to know is does anyone have any experience with this list against things like palp aces, how does it do?

I really enjoyed playing the Baron list but with regionals this weekend it feels to short notice to move to something I have barely tested.

The first strike capabilities against lower PS targets is interesting and I'd be curious to see it in action against 3 Jumpmasters. I'm quite willing to bet that you would blow one up before it even has a chance to fire. What makes jumpmasters a threat against palp aces (if flown well) is the presence of deadeye so that they do not need a target lock. Your list would not benefit from such an advantage.

Could it work? Yes, but I think you would need a solid plan and you would need to come up with it soon. Feeling up to that?

I played a Baron list in a regional with a large degree of success (including playing against Palp Aces), so the list itself does have merit.

One of the options for you is to replace one of the missiles with Thread Tracers to get these target locks vs high-PS targets and use the points to update Crackshot to Juke on some of the TAPs and/or change some missiles to homing missiles.

Those lists sound nasty.

Hmmmm this is worth considering for sure, I do love juke, and tracers would give me more options on my first engagement.

maybe give one of the ships tracer missiles instead for the free target lock and evade for the others?
