Hi!
Is there any chance that there will be ships from the clone wars?
Such as: N1 Naboofighter
Xi Char Droidfighter
Incom Arc 170
Eta 2 Actis
Ships form Count Doku, Asaji Ventress or Queen Amidala
etc.
Im totaly addicted to the x-wing modells and I need more of them.
Ships from the clone wars
"difficult to see, always in motion is the future"
(But I share your passion for the ships in the Star Wars universe.)
Welcome to the forums!
When they have spoken about it they haven't ruled it out completely but haven't been very receptive to it either. We are more likely to keep chugging along with old EU, Rebels, and new EU stuff.
Hope that helps.
(Also, inb4 "this thread again!?!" posts)

Yet none of the prominent ships such as N-1, Jedi fighters, clones fighters, ect... Have been released. Some of the designers have also been quoted as not wanting to introduce those ships to game. Despite a lot of interest it seems more obscure Legends designs and sequel/rebels designs will be introduced first
"Prequels suck" is to automatic a reaction for most of geek and sundry. While not flushing them entirely there does seem to be a "don't talk about the prequels" air within the new Star Wars merchandising programs. Rebels, OT, and the JJ abomination will be main sources from here on out. (Rogue One is Rebels/OT essentially.)
Personally i wouldnt really say the clone wars is a much of a prequel. Yes technically it IS a prequel but its literally right before the trilogy and most of those ships are still floating around in some way shape or form.
I doubt any of the larger ships would pop up except for Scum though (retro-fitted cruisers, corvettes, etc etc) where they snagged it from the boneyard and "fixed" them.
I believe the designers stated that they were going with only ship models from the Galactic Civil War onward. So no Clone a Wars stuff.
I hope that they put in a few of them (ARC-170, N-1, Scurrg H-6, ect.).
I've read this many times "I believe the designers stated that they were going with only ship models from the Galactic Civil War onward". But every time I see an designer on video they are extremely evasive on what is coming out next. So is it an old wives tale? Only FFG designers know for sure and like "GrimmyV" posted we already have some. So why not some more?

I mean it's not that bad in other areas, there are comic series "Obi-Wan and Anakin" (set after Episode I) and "Kanan" (during the Clone Wars), "Shattered Empire" which shows Naboo and N-1 Starfighters shortly after Endor, also "Rebels" and the Tarkin novel are full of Clone Wars era stuff.
I've never quite understood the hate for the prequels. There were some nice fighters and some nice capital, ships in the movies. That said, it would make a lot of sense for them to do a clone wars spin off rather than put the ships into x wing. There is only so much design space and it would feel and look better I think. They could always go back in the history of the republic for new designs for a clone wars game too like all the old republic material.
JJ Abrams isn't directing anymore Star Wars movies? When did that happen?

They only booked him on for VII. He remains as Producer for VIII, but he's not Director.
God I sure hope not.
I hope that they do introduce prequel ships into the game.
Wait, you include all the crap designs on the list but not the V-wing?? What kind of monster are you!?!? Atleast you didn't ask for the Twilight.
The designers have said that prequel ships are maybe, but that they won't happen in the near future. Most EU designs are better anyways.
That said, if it makes you feel better, there's always custom cards:
Millennium Falcon, Slave 1, Hounds Tooth, Z-95, Y-wing, Gozanti, CR-90 are all models dating back to the clone wars.
This is true, and it is rumored that the ARC-170 will be in the next wave as a Rebel counterpart to the TIE/sf as ships with rear firing arcs. Regardless, Alex Davy has said in past interviews that the ARC-170 is a "real possibility."
Yay, the rebels really needed a 'medium' base ship with aux arc, Astro and at least one crew slot. Might as well throw in a system slot and two Torps. I wonder if the ARC of the K-wing has the longer wingspan.

I think I remember Alex saying they wanted to keep it in the same era. That's already out with the new Force Awakens stuff, though the ARC will likely be a rebel, not a new faction. This was all said in Wave 4. It's now wave 9 coming up, and Alex said, if the game goes on, they will eventually have to dig into the clone wars. [media]
Edit: This is actually a Wave 6 interview, not wave 4.

Yeah, but it's a reaction that makes no sense in reference to Clone Wars-era ship. Yes, prequels do suck, but Star Wars: The Clones Wars is a great series, it's Star Wars at the top of its game, I rank it quality-wise right behind The Empire Strikes Back . That's the stuff FFG should reference, not the freaking prequels. The interesting pilots are in Star Wars: The Clone Wars , not in the prequels.
And as I mentioned in my previous post , I think they will be forced to tap into that material sooner or later. If they aim for this game to keep going and crank out new material for many, many years, and I sure I hope they do, they'll get there eventually. It'll be better received by their Disney overlords, rather than increasingly obscure EU stuff that'll get phased out more and more.

I agree entirely on Clone Wars animated. After about the first half of the first season it just takes off and is terrific stuff. And while the crowd here is a bit more open to various EU stuff which many consider Clone War animated to be despite its official status most of the wider audience for these games are "prequels suck" and even less kind to EU folks. I've little doubt that various marketing The Mouse has done show this and efforts are directed accordingly.
So while I think we're missing out on some neat design space especially from a new models point of view anything prequels is likely viewed as "unclean." This may or may not be FFG's position on this but judging by the way Lucas was dismissed from the new films it is undoubtedly not up to FFG one way or the other.
Edited by FrimmelI'm sure there's some ARC-170s, Clone Z-95s, and original Y-wings in Rebel and/or Scum use during the Galactic Civil War era. Plus " Tarkin " shows that the Empire was still using ARC-170s and V-wings when the first rebels showed up. And Vader was still flying an Eta-2 Actis until he got his TIE Advanced sometime between that book and Rebels.
DirbYn' thanks for digging that out. I listened to it very closely. Like you wrote "Alex said, if the game goes on, they will eventually have to dig into the clone wars".
I love that several newer members to this forum keep bring up adding prequel/clone war ships into the game.
I'm sure there's a correlation between younger fans who saw TFA and got the TFA core set, and had grown up with the prequels and clone wars.
While many on here don't agree, I personally think the movies and TV show are AWESOME. And I continually hope for the day when ships from them are added to the game. I do think it will happen, just a matter of when.
God I sure hope not.
I know... sneaky-ass Jar-Jar-Brams **** near ruined the show... good thing he just directly copied STAR WARS (YEAH, YEAH... A NEW HOPE ... BLAH, BLAH!)!
