The Crimson Ghost

So I played my first game with the Ghost and really enjoyed flying it. It was the Dash/Lothal that's been seen a lot.

I recently painted up a T-70 and I have never actually flown one yet... Those pesky Imps just hold my attention too much.

I have a list combing the two, what do people think?

I disagree. I'll gladly take a TL over two hits on a 4 dice primary any day of the week. Unfortunately, that turret is going to be severely limited in its helpfulness when it's by itself. I would try to get a Dorsal turret on there instead, or just not play to the turret, play to the big guns out the front.

Agree, the FCS is the better choice especially as I'm not double tapping with the title. The auto blaster is there more as a deterrent to ace match ups etc. With the ghost i'm really looking to keep my main guns on target with Hera crew and use Chopper crew for that beauty of a K turn into range 1

I agree FCS plays to the strength of the main guns but ABT is cheap enough to provide a useful deterrent against any aces that might try to bite you from outside your primary arc. They will not be in such a hurry to get that extra dice for R1 if it will cost them a uncancellable hit or two. ;)

Tend to agree with this - both are equally viable. However I've found the ACAB one of the most effective anti-ace combos out there. Especially given how Palp aces are *everywhere*. It will scare off the likes of Carnor from getting in close.

so, are the Red Vets good wing men for the Ghost? How would you load them?

Crackshot is a nice cheap EPT for generics like RSV. Then add either a cheap astromech and Integrated astromech or Autothrusters (IA is easier as it comes with the T-70 anyway). Comes to 28 or 29 points depending on exact choices and packs a decent punch whilst requiring definite effort to remove.

They may struggle against Aces although Crackshot will help you to get a bit of damage to stick. They are quite good against U-boats as they will shoot first and require at least 3 torpedoes each to remove which will take a lot of heat off the Ghost. If the U-boats ignore them, they will struggle to take them down later with their 2-dice turrets, especially if you have taken Auto-thrusters and keep them out of arc.

Just to resurrect this thread once more.

So not sure what's a better pair of wingmen with the ghost!

Predator is nice to use focus on defence or boost into range 1 but autos + crack are great aswell...

what do you think? with the double tap you can get lucky and walk a large ship off the board. I have only tried it in casual though

I like running Hera and Han as crew cards on the VCX with auto blaster and FCS. I typically use Han's ability 1-3 times / match.
