All aboard the bandwagon!
All aboard the bandwagon!
Even though today is Monday,my sermon is: you have been blessed with a gift from the Creator of the universe.!!! Thank you for sharing.
Excellent repaints Polda! How you got them to match up so perfectly, I'll never know!
----------------------------------------
But seriously, we expect great things from you. We shall be watching with great interest.
I am excited to see those finished.
Will be keeping these a bit simpler than the usual stuff with a nice brown and yellow Scummy theme.
I still need to find a good spot for Lok Revenants markings on the hull.
Slow progress.
They look stunning.
Bombing-space-chocolate! Sry, could not resist ?
Aaaaaaaaaaand now I want some space chocolate. THANKS @SOLAR FLARE !
These look great Polda! The only thing I would I would add would be a fine line of a different color on the wing for each ship between the dark brown and the tan just to distinguish each ship from one another. But that's if they were my ships. I get mixed up very easily when I have multiple ships of the same kind.
As it is, it looks like there's at least one ship (second picture, lower right) that has blue panels next to the engines that the others don't.

All still work in progress. In the state they are now, those little boxes at the back of the wings are used as subtle numbering. Those panels in blue I tried, did not like and removed. Instead I put dark grey on the large panel in the middle of each wing. Now I am experimenting with having a good canopy color so that it's not just blue like the engines.
There are also some yellow/black warning stripes around the engine on top and the open panel on the right wing.
I should hopefully be done today/tomorrow at which point I can move on to a Wookie Cruiser.
Like cockroaches*, they are multiplying!
(* = but like, you know, AWESOME cockroaches)

I had a similar reaction.

Wooohooo!
By all the holy shiny glowing space chocolate bombers, old and new!
Those are breath taking!
@Polda my Miranda loving GF is totally in love with that purple k-wing. do you have that for sale or do you do commissions? Your paint schemes are incredible, sir!
#HiFive
@Malabor , sorry haven't checked this for a while due to RW overtaking X-Wing a little. Unfortunately I do not do commission work or sell painted minis.
Edited by PoldaI am waiting for Waiqar Death Knighs so meanwhile, to get back to painting after a month+ hiatus I started working on this.
IT'S MADE OUT OF WOOD
LIVING WOOD!
Edit: oh and yeah... I am going with a proper wood grain.

Wookies, man.
Here, have some more Wookiee wood.
Did you sculpt the tree limbs yourself or modify some existing ones?
That wood grain is sharp! Paint brush or markers?

Those are leftover plastic parts from Citadel Wood (which I use for Runewars but flocked the trees with foam instead of using the plastic leaves). The grain was done using size 2 brush with a super sharp tip.
Edited by PoldaIf you go down to the woods today, you'd better go in disguise;
If you go down to the woods today, you're in for a big surprise...

Seriously good work that! - Love 'em!!
I'm going to go out on a limb here, but they're certainly different. Amazing paint as always!
I'm not loving the leaves, but man alive that wood grain effect is stunning!!! I'm not sure why, I never would have thought of using brown for ships but it looks OUTSTANDING!!!! It just makes the ships pop. Scum or not the theme color variations is uniquely beautiful. Great work!!
Edited by ImpulsiveThat is some quality wood grain, man.
