Omega Squadron Crack

I had an idea on a possible variant for the crack swarm using all TIE/FO and weapons guidance.

Omega Squadron Pilot (20) x 5

TIE/fo Fighter (17), Weapons Guidance (2), Crack Shot (1)

I am curious whether this could perform as well as the regular crack swarm or the one with Howlrunner even though you lose one TIE body uprading to the First Order TIE?

Well, it's the same amount of total hp. However it's got less red dice (before counting howlrunners rerolls even). I think if you want to fly cracksquad then more ships is just stronger. However there could be an argument made about not having to fly formation for howlrunner.

The tie/fo is a good ship, there's no discounting that. Get it on the table and see if it feels like rerolls or an extra attack would make a difference for you.

3 black 3 omega is more of a thing I think.

I'm a big fan of the TIE f/o for it's maneuver dial. All green standard speed 2 move and the speed 2 S-loops give you a lot of options and make it hard for your opponent to figure out where you're going to end up.

That's what I was thinking, and it has more consistency than the 3 black 3 omega swarm so far. At range 1 it's efficiency drops because Weapons Guidance can only change 1 die to a hit. I definitely like it so far.
