When you encounter the Eastern Dragon do you include any weapon you have when checking against your Craft total to see which is higher..

We need a official answer..

A Weapon must be included in the total and anything that automatically adds to your Strength or Craft in battle or psychic combat, such as the Colossus or Tunnel Fighter.

You do not have to include optional items, such as the Ancient Artefact or any Spells that you might wish to use!

Mercenary IMO falls under the optional category, since you have a choice in the matter.

that makes no sense,,,you can add items which add craft and strength,,but can't add special items??? that makes absolutely no sense

you have to add stuff like the maiden or the ring, stuff that cant be turned off. after you know if it will be a strength or craft fight, you can bump optional stuff like the merc or potion of str, or spells

weapons only add 1 if you decide to use them, dont they?
