An A-Wing, a K-Wing, and a 47-point Corran walk into a list...

I literally threw this list together as an excuse to make something with the name. Turns out it has a lot of key elements of a good list. 99 Points allows a slight bid against fellow PS8 Aces, and can help the Proto block other PS1s or the Warden bomb other PS2s.

Corran does his usual tanking and double-tapping. He's insanely good against large ships. Hull Upgrade allows for the bid, and is a little bit of Wampa Insuranceā„¢*. The Warden absolutely murders Aces. Lots of munitions to spare, and with Sabine providing extra damage it can pull more than its weight without firing a shot. The A-Wing blocks as Prototypes do, and 2 dice shots of opportunity can never be discounted.

I've played exactly one game so far on Vassal with this list, against RAC & Fel. Granted, that's exactly the kind of list this one has the tools to fight, but by the Force what a massacre. Fel barely survived his first run-in with a pair of Cluster Mine tokens, the A-Wing helped Corran chip away at RAC while Horn tanked damage. Fel finally met his demise at the second set of Clusters, and the Conners proved useful in getting in RAC's way. Ultimately, my ships only took a total of 10 damage: dead A-Wing, 3 shields from the K-Wing, and 3 shields off Corran, one of which was regenerated and another was RAC Vader-ing himself to death because the game was over at that point.

I think I'm going to put some more flight time into this list!

I've been wanting to run Advanced Sensors Corran. Its outrageously expensive, but ****, is it ever fun:

Corran, PTL, advanced sensors, R2-D2 & engine = 49

Doesn't have the same 'protection' as a hull upgrade offers, but I figure I can always just stay out of wampa's arc (and bombs/ mines are not a big issue because advanced sensors allows the optimal movement needed to escape).

The biggest problem is finding something good to run him with.

I think you're on to something with that k-wing build. A mad bomber K-wing is no joke (I faced Heaver using almost the same thing on VASSAL and it was tough....fortunately X-7 Defenders are tougher ;) )

Anyway, I was thinking of running a pair of a-wings beside super Corran:

prototype w/ chardaan & autothrusters = 17

Jake w/ PTL, VI, autothrusters & proton rockets = 33

Also leaves 1 point for an initiative bid, but I'm not sure Jake can cut it these days. Once the proton rockets are spent, the list does suffer from a lack of damage...
