I just found the picture you're talking about, and let me say, if I hadn't already painted my ship, I'd be doing the exact same thing. Good luck

I've got it freshly based and washed, so now its just a matter of finding the right contrast (probably a little more than anticipated)... And then getting this stencil to work...

Its a lot of fiddly cutting, after all

So what's this all about?

Because if I show and tell, honestly, you'll do a much better job of it than me. And I just want to take a shot at it beforehand...

I find that difficult to believe, but nonetheless, I'll be patient

I hope this is as good as the build up, haha

Things have been hell here... Christmas was aweful , and my wife spent most of the week in and out of hospital, and I dare say I've slept less than 6 hours of sleep total in the past Fortnight.

So what does that mean?

I'm painting to remain sane, of course.

The whole lot I have to do right now (Corellian Conflict + A few other aces and Rogues)...

And the X-Wings done already...

Wedge and Luke were done ,but of course, under my old scheme - Biggs was on Wedge's Wing (as Red 3).

So pulled him off, and then painted up Reds 7-9 to now fill out all 3 Stands...

And instead of doing Gold Squadron, I've re-done at Dutch, and the Gold Squadron I did for Dutch in the past becomes Gold Squadron...

... and Norra in Red Squadron Y Wings, because that way, she REALLY stands out.

Oh, and yes, none of its mine. This is all for someone else

There's a big problem with it.

Basically:

PEBAAC.

(Problem Exists Between Airbrush And Chair).

At the moment, I'm painting in 10-20 minute blocks... My wife is still sick and I'm full-timing a toddler on holidays when I should be getting a break.

But that means going down to the basement to do everything to set the airbrush up, is a total no-no right now. I simply can't use it.

That, and all of my experiments with it so far have been less than spectacular - its been a long time since I airbrushed, and basically, I can't get the practice to get better at the moment.

Don't worry, I'm suitably hating this time of year because of it all.

I've heard that about airbrushes. Great for some applications but the setup and cleaning can take a long time. I suppose it depends on how much you have to produce. Happy New Year and I hope your wife feels better soon.
