Red Crack

By Lyynark, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So, this weekend I tested out a new Rebel list. I've been wanting to utilize all the T-70's I have in my collection and I finally settled on the following list:

3 x Red Squadron Veteran (T-70 X-wing)

  • Targeting Astromech
  • Integrated Astromech
  • Crack shot

1 x Tala Squadron pilot (Z-95 Headhunter)

So far I've only flown it versus an Imperial Aces list (Soontir, Carnor, Inquisitor) and it performed splendidly. The Targeting astromech really opens up the manouvering options by not punishing Tallon Rolls and K-turns. And Crack Shot is what allows this list to really put the hurt on fragile aces such as Soontir and Carnor

Here's the list in Squadron builder in case someone wants to copy/evolve it.

Any thoughts on how I might improve or evolve this list?

i guess the z 95 makes a nice blocker

but wouldnt 3x

Red Squadron Veteran #1
T-70 X-Wing
Targeting Astromech
Proton Torpedoes
Crack Shot
Guidance Chips
do more damage?

They most certainly would. but it would trade durability and the fourth ship, if they had access to extra munitions it would have been a lot more appealing. It is however something to think about.

I think its fine as is. Love seeing solid generic rebel builds!

Would rather have the fourth ship.

Actually saw someone flying this once. It looked fun, though I don't think it performed quite as well as he'd hoped. Still, something I'd like to try sometime.
