Still get shot by TLT from shuttle more than primary so not so sure it matters to me.
I still love how dumb it is to combo juke and TLT's on this thing...
But yeah, if I remember it right, the twin cannons on this thing have a much lower rate of fire when not plugged into the Ghost. And it still wouldn't really conflict at all with the A wing and Z95.

Which could be why you get 4 dice shooting out the ghost's rear arc, but only 3 as the phantom.

No Target Lock takes the edge off of its firepower.
STAND & DELIVER... YOU SOB's!!!
True it's got less cannons than an X-Wing, but the 3 firepower I think is justified by them being ludicrously big.

One-shotted Soontir Fel with a Cartel Marauder on Saturday. It felt like justice.

Size matters not.
It's attack three because the mouse dictated it be awesome and ffg doesn't want to lose the license so it's got to cave in some places.
Yeah, number or even size of guns on a ship does not dictate the ATT value. The X-wing has 4 HUGE guns but nope, only 3 dice. The TIEs in ANH could fire their twin cannons at a rediculous rate and should have rated at least 3 dice. Poor Y-wing got 2 dice despite having guns that run the length of the cockpit. A-wings have only two tiny guns but rate 2 dice, and the HWK has huge guns but rates a single die!
Phantoms (the TIE variety) have three wing guns and two chin mounted cannons and rate 4 dice. Interceptors have 4 identical Wing guns and similar twin chin guns but, nope, only 3 dice. (That's also if you ignore the 4 hub mounted gun ports on the interceptor.)
The B-wing is bristling with guns yet most are supposed to represent various types of cannons that are represented by upgrades in this game. Yet the B comes in at 3 att, even though After you account for Ion cannons, autoblasters, and a Heavy Laser Cannon there are no 'normal' lasers to account for the 3 dice.
So yeah let's put this to rest ok? FFG just puts a value that 'makes sense' for the game.
I personally am glad they dont balance the game by the size of the guns. It would be an impossible task.

Thats something that still bothers me. I want an option to increase the attack value of the interceptor to 4 and/or ad an Autoblaster which can shot after the primary attack.
Well, it is called an Attack Shuttle.
Well, it is an
attack
shuttle. Which also explains why it doesn't even have a targeting computer.

Considering that many TIE variants don't have one as well and their only purpose is killing enemy spaceships (as opposed to the attack shuttle which is also... a shuttle), I don't think it is much of an oversight

If Luke didn't need no stinkin' targeting computer, my attack shuttle pilots can do without one!

Well, that's because a targeting shuttle just sounds silly

Colonel Jendon takes offense to that statement.
Clunkyness doesnt impact its effect. That thing still sports quite a few large guns, it just cant bring them to bare for jack lol.
The freakin cannons are as big as the ship, that thing should have to perform a 1 reverse every time it shoots!
It is also a matter of lack of fine tuning du to the overall amount of dice. If every value would be double you can be more "accurate" or diverse. For example T-65 could have 6 attack dice vs 4 agility, and the attack shuttle 5 attack dice. But in the actual system the gap between 2 and 3 attack dice is large, so an attack shuttle with just 2 attack dice would be too weak (and pointwise worse than Z95)

That would be a really interesting mechanic, especially if paired with a pilot ability which allowed it to take a free action (perhaps boost) after it has fired. Perhaps if we ever get that experimental tie which was just an interceptor with huge missile pods on the wings... can't you just imagine doing three point turns around the battlefield.

If you want lore, go custom .

Because Disney faps to Rebels cartoon real hard.
And mary sue factor requires it to have 3 attack, usually reserved for heavy assault vehicles.
