It is okay to use this for tournaments.
I would be 100% OK with someone flying these against me in a tournament, just saying.

That breakfast looks great
Anyway to answer the question.
Yes you can take Micromachines ships at a tournament.
Yeah of course you can.
It's a free country do what you want.
Have you got a fragging death wish! The nerds alone will tar feather and beat you like a drum so hard that your grandchildren will feel it!

What is that green goopy stuff in the middle?!
Looks like the yolk from the fried egg and iffy colour balance plus a dark blue plate.
Expensive game?
Xwing is dirt cheap compared to literally any other tabletop game lol.
I have less models in Warzone Resurrection than i do Xwing and still have about ~600USD in it.
Warmachine/Hordes i had ~900USD of Trolls before i got sick of that game and sold it.
Warhammer 40k i have......uh.....um.....~3000 in Tau and i honestly dont know how much i have in Orks rofl.
Xwing i have like 400, and i dont see many more purchases other than the occasional box here and there.
Just ask the TO beforehand.

if someone spends 2-3G's on Xwing they have spending issues.
I dont even see how thats possible without buying several repeats of expensive ships, which has no point to do.
FFGs scales is "truer" scale. It pasted LFL and unlike most wikis, FFG actually goes to the source for their info. So while you deem it more appropriate to your liking, it is not "truer".Depends on the venue... I've been using the Micro Machine version of Black One for months (as well as WotC truer scale A-wings)
This has been said many times, but the movie models are not scaled to each other so while the official numbers are on par in relation to the models they're not consistent with what is actually on the screen.
they're not consistent with what is actually on the screen.
But they are the proper scale per the official stats from LFL. Which means that's the sizes FFG must use.

LFL should release a new special edition of the movies that fixes what is on the screen to the official size of the ships. ...The official size that FFG used to make true exact scale models.

Like I said... AIN'T REAL.

It's kind of weird to me this has so much traction. First the guy asks. That's cool. Then EVERYONE responded. Huh. (Me too. Crap.)
No you can't. Period. I would even be reserved about using them i casuals but that depends on how they look.
And xwing is NOT expensive. Come on....its ~15$ a ship (or ~30 for a big one). If you cannot afford that once a month/2 months mean you either are on your parents payroll and then your argument is invalid as from here to Tatooine(as you can always get some side job even in high school), or unemployed/minimun salary and then i guess Xwing prices are least or your troubles (no offence to anyone, i have been both, so i know its hard, just pointing it out with a little wink of an eye
).
I agree it really depends on the venue. But the tournament rule are clear. Also some people are just picky and others just want to have fun.
It is okay to have fun.
A little bit of time travel?

Someone said this if from the movie Airplanes.
