Six down, two to go.
Six down, two to go.
Two to go sounds like you're a Penguins fan... ![]()
My dice luck is consistent. Consistently bad. ![]()

Those kinds of attacks on a person's character are beyond the pale. I suppose you're going to say Sarone thinks Bettman is a good commissioner next. haha

Hey now!
I'm hoping that by this time next week, the 2015-16 NHL season is over...Pens in 4!!! (Realistically, with the level of play and the 2-0 series lead though, I'm thinking Pens in 5 or 6.)
Eh, I'm more of a Detroit Red Wings fan than anything.
Also, the only person we are waiting for now is GMRen. I already contacted him and are just waiting on a response.
Finally got around to equipment. Let me know if anything looks amiss.
450 - HL-27 Blaster (SoF: 94)
800 - False Credentials (FC: 50)
150 - Scanner Goggles (EotE: 175)
100 - Disguise Kit (EotE: 178)
1,500 - Total
The False Credentials are a ® restricted item, so that's a GM call on availability there. If it's a go, I'll work on the ID, if it gets a veto, I'll look into a more feasible use of 800 cred.
i would highly suggest at least heavy clothing or padded armor, a few stim packs, encumberance gear, and other basic gear over the ID

Duly noted.
Yeah, it may seem cliche at this point, but there's a reason why so many beginning PCs have a catch vest and a utility belt. That said, I made gear sacrifices so I could afford the ascension pistol, so I know where you're coming from in selecting something that fits your character despite being a "suboptimal" choice.
Also, Sarone are you going to be looking for some more checks to move things along or are we free to play it out at bit right now?

While false credentials would be useful in a small number of cases, other gear would be highly encouraged.
I'm game for you to have it, provided you can provide a feasible case on why it would work. Failure to convince me would deny you the credentials.
If anything, being married to a crime lord has a tendency to get you noticed by some powerful enemies and outside forces.

If anything, the ascension pistol is good for situations that require climbing, which can happen more often than not.

Working on post right now. I have been having an interesting weekend and GMing requires full use of my faculties.
Start Destiny Pool: 9 Light Side/2 Dark Side
Passed:
Fail:
ColonelCommissar has also used a Destiny Point to upgrade his Ability to a Proficiency. Destiny Pool: 8 Light Side/3 Dark Side
In addition, GMRen, I also flipped an additional Destiny point to upgrade your check (see post #64 in the OOC). However, in the name of time, I'm going to rescind that. Destiny Pool: 7 Light Side/4 Dark Side
Just a reminder, please check the OOC before posting in the IC in case of any changes.
Destiny Pool: 7 Light Side Points/ 4 Dark Side Points
Please wait to post your results in the IC until I post.
Environmentals:
(Current Difficulty and Environmental Check)
@ColonelCommissar: It's a standard run for pilots to recalibrate and recheck systems (especially for CEC ships), though the klaxons and mess is causing trouble for you. That will be an Easy Pilot (Space) check with environmental and stress setback die (DSSS)
@TheErthafein: Edad needs to restart the computer system and get it setup. That will be a Hard Computers Check with environmental and stress setback die (DDDSSS)
@Kymrel and @GMRen: With the portside (left) engine down, the ship will face a massive reduction in speed and further problems with handling. Until it gets repaired, the ship has a Speed of 1 and a -4 to Handling. It will be a Daunting Mechanics check with an upgrade due to not having access to the engine itself (CDDDSS). You can get additional help from up to two people, with a third helping with a computer check.
In addition, if anyone can convince the Captain, he can order R4 do an EVA repair, there by downgrading the check. That will be a Hard Social check with modifiers, with additional modifiers depending on the person (currently at CDDSS).
Edited by SaroneTo clarity, I assume the B in the dice sequences stands for black? It could get confused with Boost. Perhaps it would be better to use S for setback and B for boost?
EDIT: When you say help from 2 people, do you mean Massan could get a boost for unskilled assistance from 2 people? Assuming nobody has Intellect 5 or 2 ranks of Mechanics of course...

Good catch. You gain a Boost to an additional roll of your choice since I didn't recognize that.
Yes, you can get unskilled assistance from two other people, three if someone monitors the computer.

I've posted a rambling plea for more help in engineering, broadcast throughout the ship. Anyone not busy can now have all the excuses they need to get busy!
Klyp is going to give VERY unskilled assistance to Massan.
Tion's on his way too. I'll post IC in about an hour or so.
- In addition, the klaxons are loud and bright. Despite this, it will take an action from either the sensor operator's station, the pilot/copilot stations, or engineering to shut it down. This will be the player/character's action. (+1 Setback Die to all characters, DDBB (Computers) to shut down and counts as the action)
@TheErthafein: Edad needs to restart the computer system and get it setup. That will be a Hard Computers Check with environmental and stress setback die (DDDSSS)
I have a couple questions regard the above from your post. Does the line specifically to me included the 2 setback from the failed resilience check? Also, I'm going to need to restart the computer system before the alarms can attempt to be shut down, correct?
"Massan, if we survive this, we need to have a chat about how we define things like 'fine' and 'all good,'" Tion says. "Now how can we help?"
Somehow this came to mind, reading through your post...

I guess Sting could go help with the piloting roll, his other options are to go "lean on the captain" to coerce him to getting the droid out (with his talent it would downgrade the roll to DDDSS vs PAB, or to go "fix" the issue in engineering by banging on something with his gaffi stick. Which would you guys prefer?
System Recalibration: 1eP+3eA+1eD+3eS 1 failure, 6 advantage

So this went badly. Not really badly, but pretty badly.
Boost Dice for everyone!
Yeah not sure how to spend it - can I buy a re-roll?
