Lost Stars should be a movie

Lost Stars, a great book about growing up, disillusionment, Death Stars and ships going pew pew.

It should be moviefied, it's got everything you need to match the first Hunger Games movie (the later ones got worse) and beat almost every other YA movie into the ground.

The leads are likeable. There's romance. There's loss. There's Death Stars and Star Destroyers. And while set during a time everybody is familiar with, it shows the other side of the story, it is about people influenced by the bigger than life heroes of the main event.

Why is this not yet a thing?

It's one of the best of the new books, but it can stay a book.

The only problem is that these guys encounter people from the original trilogy. That is going to be hard to film. Not necessarily impossible, but very very difficult... and you know how the OT people can be about their Star Wars. Agree that this was a good book. Very good use of conflict and morality... and how family background can influence so many things. Sadly, we have too few that would understand the true ramifications of the Family Oath, but it was well done.

You can get lookalikes. :P.

I loved, btw, how they referenced the No Shields, All Guts poster, off handedly.
