Last night i had a local store tournie that ive been going to for the last few weeks. I am a quite competitive person but it takes me a while to get an understanding of things so i impressed myself!

Before last night my tally in store games is 5 losses to 1 win so my hopes were never for a high placing!

As it was a switch tournament we had 3 differnt pre built 100 pt lists that could only be used once.

My squads consisted of :

KAMI Love - SQUAD 1

100 points

Lucky 7's - SQUAD 2

97 points

Bodyguard Biggs - SQUAD 3

99 points

First round i picked Lucky Sevens and came up against Tetran, Carnon and the Inquisitor

we both started slowly moving slowly towards the asteroids in the middle of the board, and then the A's boosted to range 1 of the interceptrors while the Inquisitor was watching from the far left of the board. couple of shields a piece gone on the a's and the interceptors. i switched the following turn to focus fire on the inquisitor and managed to get him to 1 hull during the round of shooting, finishing him of the next turn, Etahn got caught out big time when i miss judged an asteroid and landed squarley on it in front of the interceptrors meaning he suffered horribly and was down to a single hull point, however Gemmer and Jake managed to take Carnor to a single hull point (thanks to Etahns ability pulling a double damage crit) and the following turn took him down but not after he had finished of Etahn. with Tetran being on a single hull point and me having no hull damage to my a wings my opponent conceeded the game - First win for me!

Round 2 had me choose Kami love and i was paired against 3 t-65's flown by Hobbie, Wes and Wedge. i slowly shifted Kanan and Miranda Forward and the following turn Miranda advanced slammed forward to position herself in front of Wes and Wedge and dropped a Conner net, whilst Hobbie was heading towards a stand off with Kanan. The following turn Miranda dropped her seismic charge and caught Wes and Wedge in the blast whilst Sabine did her thing and took another damage from Wes. Wes and Wedge had to skirt around the connor net taking them out of the game for a turn whilst Kanan was trying to TLT Hobbie. Next turn and i dump Kanan on an asteroid so Hobbie has a chance to close up whilst Miranda gently follows wedge picking away at him with her turret whilst they had k turned to try and get around to knock out Kanan, i kept trying to get my missiles away with target lock but Wes kept stripping it so the missiles stayed docked. Kanan decides on a hard left 2 and starts running down the side of the board tlt hitting out at Hobbie again and not doing much, Hobbie returns fire from the side and takes kanan to half health. Wes and Wedge continue to dance around the connor net to try and get to Kanan and rather than chase them with Miranda sweeps below it still popping away with her turret and ejecting the astromech from Wes. Kanan drops an ion bomb and Hobbie almost flies into it, ending just between Kanan and the bomb, whilst Wes and Wedge finally come into range of Kanan. the bomb detonates catching Hobbie meaning Sabine gives him damage causing R2 astromech to fly. Miranda follows up the board and hits Wes causing him to bite it. Kanan drops another ion bomb almost directly on Hobbie and flies off while Miranda starts a run on Wedge, Wedge heads to kanan to try and finish his 3 hull off. unsuprisingly Hobbie gets hit with the Ion bomb and just for good measure Sabine gives him another damage . Time gets called and i don't have enough fire power to finish off Wedge so Mod win to me, 67- 29

Last but not Least i got paired against Poe, Prototype and Corran using my Bodyguard Biggs list

Biggs and Hera start off slow whilst Guardian slams again to get ready to unload his bombs! Corran decides to not double tap and takes 2 shields off of Biggs. the prototype flies in front of Biggs the second turn and causes Biggs and Hera to bump, the Guardian drops a seismic charge and catches Poe who had ended up almost directly behind him after talon rolling causing more damage with Sabine (have i said how much i love her on a K WIng!!!) Hera shoots at the prototype through Biggs and knocks a shield off. Corran double taps Biggs leaving him with 1 hull. Guardian decides to move 1 straight and drop his cluster bombs directly in-front of Poe causing one to detonate (cue Sabine) and caused 3 damage to him, Poe then moves over the middle mine causing 2 damage and ending his short lived stay on the table! Corran starts to head around to try and set up a double tap on the K wing and ends up with Hera bumping him with Biggs chasing down the A wing, Zeb activates and Hera takes a big chunk of damage from Corran (the green dice failed him!) while Corran evades all from the TLT. Biggs manages to take the A wing to 1 hull with no reply. the following turn the K wing bimbles around a bit, Corran heads in for the Double tap whilst Biggs Regens a shield and the A wing lines him up. Corran opens up taking the K wing to 2 hull left, Hera manages to take a single point of hull from Corran, the K wing then replies with 2 crits and a hit with the primary turret causing Corran to expire. Biggs manages to finish off the A wing and another win for me!

My store games are now 4-5 (w-l) so getting better and i finished the tournament in first place winning myself a Misthunter, alt art IG, 2 more veteran instincts, the overly heavy coin and 3 acryllic ion tokens in the process. First time Ioning and loved it and cluster mines once again causing issues but the star of the show was Sabine in effect doubling the potency of some of the bombs and helping Kanan avoid being torn apart by Hobbie!
