Let Me Tel You...

By Derpfish, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So I'm fiddling with a list lately and a couple of friends and I feel it's good, I just need to fly it more. I came here to drop it and get some feedback from a wider group.

Tel Trevura- (53)

-Predator (3)

-R4-B11 (3)

-"Gonk" (2)

-Experimental Interface (3)

-Punishing One (12)

Kaa'to Leeachos- (19)

-XX-23 Tracers (1)

-Crackshot (1)

-Glitterstim (2)

-MONKEYYYYYYYS!!! (0)

2x Binarye Pirate- (14*2 = 28)

-Feedback Array (2)

Total: 100.

What is everything doing? For instance, what is R4-B11s purpose on this list? How are you planning on getting regular usage out of it? Most often, a TL will be needed to modify your red dice, so often in fact, that I would venture to guess that may see use one every two games or so. Hardly worth the point investment. Second, tracers. Why? Are you just wanting a turn to get TLs for everyone? I think this may have been filter to eat points, as I don't see the point otherwise. Honestly, for the same points, I'd drop Kaa'to and pick up N'dru with Lone Wolf. Better overall pilot, PS tie with Tel, and gives your opponent something to actually worry about.

Did you not see Tel's EPT, Predator?

Right. So why TL at all? Just focus and EI to Gonk. Take Unhinged to give you more green to shed stress. Saves 2 points. With that you can upgrade to Soldiers on the Zs, or just keep the init bid, though I don't know what you would need it for.

I like the idea of N'dru with Lone Wolf. Positioning is going to be difficult, but I guess it just takes time to learn. R4 is going to probably see less screentime when sensor jammer bounces around, but forcing four evades into zero via re-roll has to have its merits...right?
