Although I'm still holding out hope for a Venator that can be used either by Rebels or Imperials.

There is PLENTY to grab from the computer games. I say this because they basically converted one into a board game. I'm looking at you, REBELLION. God I played the snot out of that back in the day.

Rebels is a likely source if Rogue One doesn't bring up new ships directly.

If the VSD falls further from grace, it may be time to add a beneficial card or two to another expansion. Figure 5 waves in it would be a good time to reassess the existing ships.

SSD and Star Defender as the first massive ship bases. As well as a pile of fighters that invalidate all previous fighters forcing rebuys.

I believe they already said one of the pilots from Rogue One is coming to Armada, so I would guess Wave 5 may have some Rogue One stuff in it...

I do agree with Eggzavier, we'll probably see an Aces pack for both sides. I wonder if it'll be a combination set or maybe a 2 single 2 squadron type set: Empire with the VT-49 and Lambda in addition to Defenders and Phantoms (and maybe a set of new fighter dials for existing stuff), the Rebels with the E-wing, K-wing, Ghost, and.... well something weird enough to match the weird H-6's.

For ships, we still have one rebel ship yet to appear from the OT, and I doubt we'll see it yet, the Braha'tok gunship. But, I do think we'll likely see the Hammerhead corvettes.

I do wonder about the Quasar: it's a triangle after all, so maybe the Empire could get it. But it's recognizable 'Rebel' in Rebels. So I think it'll be the Arquiten for the Empire after all. Maybe that plus the Finalizer-class.

Don't forget the wingless liberty! Its aft section is prominently visible in RotJ here in the bottom right and is neither Home One nor the Liberty itself.

DUR, blast it, I forgot the Wingless Liberty because I own one already Do love it and I can see it being around eventually. I'd personally love an MC40 but I doubt that'll happen. There's a few transport ships in ESB's fleet panorama if memory serves but not a ton else.

X-wing has had 8 waves of rebels having exclusive access to the astromech upgrade slot then scum were introduced and got 2 different slots that have been exclusive to them (one if them will be slightly available to rebels in the next release). It took 5 waves before the imperials got a turret capable ship. In all that time, the only upgrade type that was exclusive to imperials was the bomb slot, which had only 3 overcosted upgrades available and has since been made available to rebels who have a faction specific upgrade that radically improves it.

Rebels stuff for the next 4 ships. (though to be fair, the Interdictor WAS shown in Rebels so you can kinda count that).

Braha’tok Class Gunship for Rebels (made a brief appearance as a background ship in the Rebel Fleet during the Battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi)

Arquitens-Class Light Cruiser for Imperial (Clone Wars-era ship, makes many appearances in Star Wars: Rebels alongside the Gozanti Cruiser as an early Empire ship).
