Miniature painting question?

By kain7th, in Talisman Home Brews

I'm painting the Tinkerer and he has a monocle and is looking through a looking glass.... was wondering how i can get a glass color effect on those?

You can drill it out with a small bit and fill it with a product called Realistic Water to make a perfectly convincing piece of glass, or just use dark grey paint if you do gritty/realistic paint jobs, or light blue paint if you do cartoony/vivid paint jobs.

Well i went with light blue and add a tiny white dot at the top to try to get a light reflect effect going.... it looks ok

Awesome, yeah I haven't gotten to this guy yet I'll probably drill it out, I'm anal retentive on the miniatures lol

To make it real usually start with a black base, and lighten it up with one little white slash as the final highlight.
