COLLISION ALERT! FFG Pays Tribute to Shuttle Tydirium Podcast

Just started listening to you guys. Looking forward to hearing more about the casual fun side of things for a change. :)

Yep, started listening to episode 1 today and enjoying it greatly. Good work guys!

Was thinking that too... kinda.

It ain't true... None Of IT!

;)

You'll know you've arrived when you have your own upgrade card. There's certainly a need in the game for a Shuttle Tyderium title (can equip Rebel only crew!), a Mynock Crew, a Nova Squadron title, a Kessel Run mission, and so on.

The Scum & Villainy podcast got their own faction, though -- top that!

Good to hear FFG's hopefully widening their target audience for articles, and the breakdown of your regional downloads was interesting [what happens to the rankings if you adjust for countries populations ? ;) ]

Not sure how much work is involved in producing "shorts" like that, but think it's a really good idea - in a completely unrelated field, something similar has kinda happened in photographic mags, where they have polarized into those that keep up with the news/product announcements [smaller, weekly] and those that concentrate on technique and reviews [thicker, monthly/quarterly] - suspect same could be said for other interests/hobbies...maybe it's worth trying to offer both show formats as a regular thing ?

Got a whole days casual tomorrow, so need to start pulling some stuff together...cheers!

We record one night a week, so it's a bit harder to get shorts out, at least not without some editing. We are thinking of taking our regular show and posting it on YouTube, but cutting it into shorts. So....take the B-team segment out and put that on YouTube (with the list shown on the screen). Take the Captain's Questions out and put them out solo. Basically cannibalize each episode for shorter YouTube ones. We aren't sure if there is merit there or not, but we are thinking about it.

I guess that would give you a good indication of what people like to listen to by the number of hits...more so than just a poll, as [is well known] people prefer to tell you what they don't like vs what they do, ;)

Is it as easy to allow downloads from YouTube ? [only, i do like that it's easy to keep the podcasts & go back to them wherever/whenever...
