You beat me to it. Though I was going to post more along the lines of how they're announcing a wave before the prior wave is even available for purchase and how it would kill off Armada by burying us in a deluge of mandatory purchases in order to have fun, rather than mirroring his style.

I did feel kind of let down with Wave 3 being a single ship per faction...but if FFG is going to do that and announce a new wave every three-ish months I think that's a pretty solid trade off. Nice to see more stuff as always.

I'd be playing Armada, as a Game format, even if it was any franchise other than Star Wars.

I didn't want the Decision / Decision / Decision / Decision seat of the pants Feel of X-Wing.

I like to contemplate my moves, plan them out, and then watch the plan unfold over a few turns, rather tahn be improvising on the fly.

Good points, the Game Mechanics are better for me too. But aesthetically speaking I still feel many are drawn in by the ISD. Everything about it screams "I'm Bad!"

One of the reasons I play it CASUAL and at home with my own little rules fixes...

I have to say that our beloved Marda is a jump up because they fixed the issues that are still in X-WING.

My math is art work stuff over numbers...

i see a lot of people already getting mad about possible fleet builds etc.... but i think what this wave does is bring balance to the force... lawl, im a nerd.... seriously though, imperials now have a serious support ship (and options with cards like grav wells, and tractor beams etc.) and rebels now have the ability to out-gun the imperials (at blue range) in which was a huge complaint for rebels....

before this wave the strategy of a fleet was essentially predetermined... i think this wave (although upsetting in some aspects) will do nothing but add a whole lot of variation to lists and strategies.... exciting.

This wave makes taking demolisher a risk...when the Interdictor pops up and slows it down, or out right stops it...

Also the Liberty was the missing piece in a rebel sniper fleet...

Whilst I enjoy the theorising in this thread, you guys are too upbeat. Theorising should be restricted to ways in which the new wave will FAIL only.

Burn the ships, just burn them. I hear they go up a dream with a can of gasoline! FFG know what they are doing, no fire would be complete without an interdictor so I shall be spending $299 on Interdictors just so I can get a proper melt going on.

This thread needed to be necro’d though. Considering that you can get an evade for the Interdictor through Needa, it changes @Ginkapo ’s initial take, kind of making Interdictors a little OP.
