Wave 4 is true!

The Int was indeed zoomed in a little further than the VSD. Still, it's notably longer but looks about the same breadth in profile (it's shunted a bit. I did my best to replicate the new perspective but it seems FFG changed the angle a touch in addition to adding a shadow around the newer picture bases). Anyway, sorry for the ick photo, still toying with GIMP while I'm reinstalling photoshop.

Nevertheless, the Interdictor is a fairly sizable cruiser.

So a 600 meter Interdictor is longer than a 900 meter Victory... hmmm...

Also thought it looked a little too big. I can throw an old Star Wars Starships Interdictor on there if I want a comparable size that's more accurate.

9+ Hull Club.

No Rebel Scum Allowed.

Is Admiral Motti the bouncer?

anyway, back on topic.

On closer inspection, the interdictor appears to look extremely badass.

I am looking forward to painting the lighting effects around the gravwell generators.

double post, sorry

So after the "Raider mashup conference*" at Kuat Drive Yards a new design was discusses a long long time ago at Sienar Fleet Systems :

Chairman A: We belive that the Vindicator class cruisers are a success, but its variant the Immobilizer 418 is a even greater success. There are plenty out there. However the Imperium demands a more powerful ship, as the Immobilzers 418 often fall victim to concentrated efforts of the trapped prey itself. The Grav projector drain to much energy from the cruiser.

Marketing chef B : So we need a more powerful ship. Something like the Interdictor Star Destroyers from Kuat?

Chairman A: Something like that.

Engineer C: What about just scaling the Immobilizer 418 variant up? Instead of 600m we make them as large as a Victory class, something like 900m. It should be sturdy enough then. We could even fit more weapons on it.

Mad Scientist D: Perhaps we could even develop some experimental gravity well projectors and fit it in!
Chairman A: Great idea, but make it a bit longer than the Victory class, perhaps 925m.

Marketing chef B : And we name it Interdictor-class cruiser, just to mess up with Kuats Interdictor-class Star Destroyers.

Mad Scientist D: * giggles mad *

Cooking up the Emperor's favorite dish, "destruction in a sauce of bitter Rebel tears."

After looking over the cards I am thinking we will get another set of 4 officer upgrades, one for each command like Wave 2. Instead of letting you change your dial, these will grant a token of the specific type each turn.

It would interact really well with the Liberty title,

Seems Liberty is a bit weak on its sides and rear, it has in total 4 shields less than the Home One type. A MC30 has just as many shields.

Hopefully the double brace + one redirect combo, will compensate for this.

Interesting idea and sounds very realistic. I guess 5 points? Potentially better than Raymus in some ways because you don't need to run that command dial, better but more limited than Vet Captain.

An engineering token guy would be great with Repair crews.

Having a ship that is so 1dimensional is not great for the fleet overall usually. That said Yavaris and Salvation are great examples of 1Dimensional ships that work.

Considering a Repair Crews/Token Officer on a Flotilla would only really cost somewhere around 40pts on even the most expensive (Gozanti Assault) it's hardly a terrible thing. Assuming 7pts for the Token Officer, a Gozanti Cruiser would be 34pts fit a guaranteed card removal.

That sounds pretty good to me, actually!

Don't just look at the basic ships themselves...look at the combos.

GR75 with repair crews will ALWAYS follow my Liberty. Coupled with Salvation with spinal turbo lasers...that Liberty isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Could also throw in a CR90 with Leia....

Assuming spinal adds 1 red die to the front of salvation, if it even costs one more point than slaved turrets, is it worth it???

Since it lets you Anti-Squadron and/or Double Arc at the same time.

Yes.

Yes it is.

It is also an Increase I believe so that means the Neb actually starts with 4 dice on the roll not 3. This helps in Fire Lanes.

No. TRC still gives you more average damage.

I'd put it on an AF2a with Paragon . Having a ship with equal firepower of 3 red / 1 blue from all 4 angles with the raw movement and survival stats of the AF2 would be absolutely golden. Adding up to 2 black dice with Paragon and a focus fire command would make this an extremely brutal setup.

I'd put Spinal turrets on Paragon even if it were 10 points.

You'll trigger Paragon once (twice?) a game... meh.

with the Wave 4 rebel Commander it could happen a lot more than you think

Fair enough. Still think there are better ways to spend the points =)

You can min/max a list till the cows come home but if you don't have the experience to play it, it is useless. On the flip side, a list that is not min maxed but has experience behind it is a powerful tool in this game.

Experience trumps list building in this game. Well in my opinion anyways.
