One of the cards is a turned around support team upgrade, so you can definitely put Engine Techs on this sucker.
Wave 4 is true!
Looking at the spacing of the language on the "Spinal Turbolasers" card and comparing it to the spacing on the already existing "Enhanced Armament" card shows that he's correct, more than one hull zone is referred to:
The batter y armaments
for your left and right
hull zone s are increased
by 1 red die.
The bolded words are the ones visible in the same position on both cards (other words on the Enhanced Armament), so the remaining words would have to be similarly spaced out.
More detective work!
EDIT: Same with the Ion cannon upgrade on the right.
Edited by EggzavierJust pointing out, since I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, the interdictor has a blue and a black anti squadron attack. For a ship I always envisioned as almost exclusively support, this thing is remarkably tanky.
Four blue/red from front and side hull zones, plus three out the back, isn't exactly lightly armed - technically it has one more dice than a VSD, they're just more evenly spread. Plus, in terms of shielding, it only has one less overall than than the VSD, and has two on that vulnerable rear.
Throw in the extra engineering point and the extra hull point, and that the expense you're shelling out for is mostly in awesome upgrades. I have a soft spot for the VSD, but this beauty will more than hold its own in a fire fight.

It would make no sense that spinal turbolasers would fire out the sides. Spinal weapons run the length of a ship/vehicle and fire out the front. So if these add dice to the front and rear arc then that would make sense.

I quoted the language on Enhanced Armaments, not Spinal Turbolasers. Clearly they are firing out of the front and rear.
I was explaining why there had to be more than one hull zone listed in the new card text.
Edit: Weeeeeeee everyone post the same thing at once

When I collected old Micro Machines in High School, I had a rebel fleet with a CR-90, Neb-b, Falcon, Lady Luck, 4 full wing of fighters, and the Liberty.
My flagship has returned.
I'm so happy

My apologies I misread that.

I think 3 or 4 of us did, lol.
Hear, hear, Eggman!
Grav Well and Fleet Ambush. That objective might be playable again.
Also the upgrades are nuts, the aesthetics are gorgeous, personal favortie for each faction so far. Well played FFG.

I posted that several pages ago >.>Looks like by the end of the year we will have everything necessary to recreate this:
Well there you go
Welcome to Dat In-ter-webs...
The double contain tokens on the Interdictor are a bit puzzling to me. I would probably rather have any other token than a second contain. I guess if you really hate crits it's cool. Anyone actually excited about having 2 contains? I might just use Needa and swap one out.
Oh, and is it pronounced Inter-****-tor or inter-die-tor?
Wow, FFG is being a real Richard about my phonetic pronounciation guide there.
Edit: Kidding...please don't ban me.

In-ter-dic-t is the root... It is to Prohibit, Forbid or to Intercept Forcefully, depending on your Dictionary.

Yeah, two Contains is...kinda crap. The one on the ISD is fine but I tend to not care about discarding it. Two seems like some pretty ridiculous overkill and, possibly, something that might be hiking its price up (even if just a little.)
I mean, it's hardly the cheapest base hull around at 90 odd points per ship before you even factor in upgrades.

Well, it Forces people to use Critical Effect Cards to do Face up...
... and there's possibility that one of those upgrade cards (The Ions) would exhaust an enemy upgrade Card...
Can't exactly trigger APTs on an Exhausted APT Card now, can you?
Contain Profits for Redundancy...
Edited by DrasnightaHas anyone mentioned wave 3 stuff being used in conjunction with the Interdictor yet?
I feel like we've had two game changing waves in quick succession. An Interdictor with its 5 Engineering, plus dial, token etc... and a repair crew Gonzanti on hand just in case it cant cope with only the 8 or 9 engineering points it has available....

Except that APT doesn't become exhausted on use. It just lets you deal an auto face up any time you roll a black crit. It can however turn off engine techs, Intel officer, wulff, etc, that become tapped when used.
Don't forget ECM is turn to use......
2 contains is not bad, especially when you can have 8/9 repair points per round, means little chance of nasty crits that halve your repair value.

There's nothing in the rules to stop a Card from being Exhausted just because .
If I hit you with a Card that said: "Blue Crit: Choose and Exhaust one of the Defenders Upgrade Cards"... I could totally Exhaust, for example, APTs... That card is Exhausted, and thus, unable to be used until such time as we get to a Status Phase, where it can be Readied Already...
All I am saying it is a possibility .
Any card can theoretically be Exhausted by an outside influence... Its just that some cards have an internal reason - the cards you listed for example.
:::EDIT::::
Just for the record, I'm checking myself here... And I may be incorrect... I've not found a statement that says an Exhausted Upgrade card can'tbe used... Only that it can't be Exhausted again...
So, y'know. I enjoy my Crow Char-Grilled and dipped in Beer Batter.
Edited by DrasnightaIts interesting...
One of those Grav Well cards actually
violates
a Rule....
The rule is:
• During setup, no card effects can be resolved except objective card effects.
Setup includes everything from Objectives to Obstacles to Deploying Fleets, to Cleaning up everything to start the game....
Soooooo.
Golden Rule!
Upgrade Card Breaks Core Rules and is allowed!
