I think it was probably leaked because FFG told some distributor that they were previewing this today and they jumped the gun a little. Based on my 0% experience with manufacturing, marketing, or distribution.
Wave 4 is true!
anyone wonder if this was not their intended schedule but because of the leak earlier today they sent this out
Did wonder this, but seems unlikely. A leak's annoying for them, but only speculation - they could easily have just brushed it under the rug.
I imagine they gave distributors a heads up (which then got leaked), with the intention of releasing this publicly shortly after.
I'm quite sure this happened before, where there was a leak and they dropped the relevant announcement the same day, but I can't remember the circumstances. Maybe it was the MC80? Anybody else remember?
It wouldn't stop it. Engine Techs makes you do a speed 1 maneuver. So even at speed 0 you still do a speed 1 maneuverAs far as I understand, you actually do a second Determine Course.
And, you could also use this for preventing engine techs, no?[/quot
It's definitely going to need an FAQ, but my first thought is no.
Why would it even potentially prevent engine techs ( need faq) engine techs are not dependent on speed, just the command ? If I had changed my speed to 0 last turn and I had a navigate dial or token I could spend the command for no effect, stay speed 0 then use engine techs to make a 1 move, but still be speed 0 for next round..... Not sure why I would, but I could.
I agree, which is why my first thought was no, but I'm not going to commit to a position without having thought through the potential arguments against my initial impression.
Do you not "Determine Course" when you Engine Tech? (I have no idea what the correct answer on this is.)
Remember, it goes, Determine Course the Move Ship. Sadly since Demolisher can stay out of distance 5 then rush in, it won't always work.
As to the question it goes Determine Course, move, Engine Techs into another Determine Course, move
The ET Determine Course will come at <Range 5 though, so that at least would always be impacted.
... assuming, of course, that G-8 does in fact shut down ET. Which would be fantastic.
thinking about this . The determine course related to the ships speed is separate from the determine course of the engine techs move, so using the card to affect the first determine course would not also effect engine tech move. You could save the card effect and use it on the engine tech determine course section (but it would not effect the first determine course). Also as stated above the the engine tech card makes you do a speed one manouver If you play it, there is no modification option so in my view it would not stop the ET manouver.
Or maybe they made up their production shortfalls...
its upgrades are more offensive in nature than those on the Home One
I'm a little bit concerned about this. If this thing is speed 2 like Home One, and doesn't have Engine Techs available, there's a very real danger that it will just be a bigger, more expensive VSD. Without the efficient-carrier role.
I'm disappointed that Interdictor (the title) won't affect any current upgrades :'(
No double engine techs or Intel officer or nk-7 etc...
Intel officer is a pain...

Well, it IS still called an MC80........
So you have Command, Battle, Assault and ??? all as versions of the one Ship Class...
I do expect its Speed and Yaw to be identical to the Command and Assault...
Madine is the solution to that, though...

I think it may be faster but less maneuverable. It has more engines.
I don't know. I can't really see the back of the Liberty...

I personally think Madine > Cracken based on 0% field testing and just pure speculation.

That's why I'm concerned. I expect it to have the maneuver table as Home One, and if "more offensive in nature" translates to "it doesn't have a Support Slot"... I think Madine will be pretty crucial to running it successfully. With one red die more than the VSD-2... I'm not saying nay without having seen everything (I was a bit apprehensive about the MC30T, too, and I freaking love that thing), just saying this may be a weakness to consider.

Support refit? Adds extra squadron activation. Note that the arcs on these version are ISD-sized as opposed to the Command and Assault versions or MC80.

I personally don't have a problem with VSDs,
And even then, if I did, the Rebels are different - because this is wholly front side... You can't compare it to anything else like the VSD to ISD, because there is no ISD... It IS the ISD....
I actually like the arcs on this better than the ISD's. They appear to be at 45* just like the CR90's--if that's so, it makes them VERY easy to double-arc with. Assuming you have that second tick at the last yaw joint...

judging by the face down card on the left of the image the liberty has a support team.

Maybe only one of them does?
I mean, one of them seems to have a Contain token, whereas the Battle doesn/t....

Clon, you're so smart. Why can't I be more like you?
I'm hoping the second terrot card is a carrier variant...
