Interdictor and Liberty, believe it or not

By Akhrin, in Star Wars: Armada

Holy crap its real.

It's real. The interdictor. The liberty. All of it.

I see what you did there....

You're very clever. The Knights of Ren need ppl like u!

I didn't even get time to say I think they're real before bam, there it is!

Hope Chaos Cards don't get into any trouble.

If I remember correctly they leaked the Force Awakens Core Set....

Two unique cards for potential Imperial commanders: "Commander" and "Admiral."

G7-X Grav Well Projector can be stacked.

The partially hidden Grav Shift card appears to let you reposition obstacles at the start of the game.

"Targeting" appears to let you help another ship by giving it a Lando Calrissean effect. It appears to exhaust the card, making it a good pairing with the Interdictor title.

Spinal Turrets: appears to increase the battery of your front and possibly rear armament by 1 red die.

High Capacity? Ion Cannons: appears to increase your battery by one blue die. Unsure which hull zone.

Liberty title: activate one additional squadron when executing a squadron command. Doesn't mention a dial, so tokens activate 2. Nice.

Endurance: Appears to recover a defense token at the start of every round.

Quad Turbolasers: turns accuracy results into something else, may only apply to red dice.

The Interdictor does not appear to have any defensive retrofits. It does have an offensive retrofit and a Support Team. It may have a Weapons Team if one of the new cats is a reprinted Flight Controllers.

Don't forget the Experimental Retrofit.

Edit/ Also, I think "Elemental Retrofit" will end up being am excellent repository of future odd duck unique upgrades.

If this jumped the gun, and like it looks like they may have. I think it forced FFG to announce a little earlier then they wanted.

The other possibility is that they had always planned on announcing this today, and the images were sent to the distributor marked as "for release on May 20, 2016", and the distributor simply put them out a few hours before FFG posted their article.

Considering FFG already had the article ready to go, Occam's Razor would seem to point to that explanation being a bit more likely.

I'm not overly keen on the dark greeblebeam running down the middle of the Interdictor. I think I would probably have preferred a plain upper hull.

But hey - it's an INTERDICTOR

Armada posts are usually on Wednesday and Friday so it made sense for them to post it today and the guys who released it early just jumped the gun. Likely FFG was going to wait about an hour or 2 more before posting the article though.

I LOVE that beam! It gives the ship a character that the ISD and VSD just dont have! It makes it look dark and foreboding!

Anyone else get the distinct feeling that FFG has been taking notes from dA's and Wes Janson's work?

http://kdyards.com/search.php?search=Grav- just sayin' ;)

Not really. The names are similar, but the abilities seem wildly different so far.
