Didn't FFG change Star Wars from co op to competitive because of fan reaction? I bet there's a fair amount of fans kicking themselves over that. PS objective set deckbuilding sucks.
Is the Arkham Horror LCG the end of LotR LCG?
I'll only start worrying for LOTR once Star Wars dies.
I don't think the fan reaction over Star Wars is anything to be concerned about. Star Wars is all about a conflict between two sides, so it makes more sense to want it as a competitive game.
Lovecraft, on the other hand, is all about humanity struggling against an unfathomable unknown "other". This sounds perfect to me as a co-op.
I'm more curious about what will happen to the Warhammer Quest card game. Especially since GW went and released an actual Warhammer Quest board game. What would happen if GW decided that a card game of similar name would be competition for their board game?

Yeah, that one actually had me confused for a while. I thought the GW game was an expansion to the FFG game, and it took me a bit of investigation to figure out what had happened. I don't understand how the licensing for Warhammer could allow two companies to produce two different board games with the same name within a few months of one another.
I guess that's why despite astonishing success, no expansion was even announced for the Warhammer Adventure Card Game.
Doesn't warhammer quest have miniatures? Games Workshop often bundles new miniatures in a single boardgame product to maximise sales. Despite being a board game its intended for miniature wargamers, not boardgamers. Also, Warhammer Quest takes place in the Age of Sigmar timeline, not the classic Warhammer Fantasy universe.
Silver Tower uses the Warhammer Quest label but it's not the same game.
I get the impression Silver Tower is more like Imperial Assault or the D&D modular board games, which could be a great thing, but entirely different than the card game.
If FFG are going to make another coop LCG, I'd rather it was set in a science fiction setting. Something like the "Culture" universe would be great.
Star Trek dude. Think of the possibilities.
Edited by FetaCheese1. Another Android LCG
2. Runebound LCG
3. Dune LCG (I know, this can't happen because they won't let go of the liscense, but a guy can dream can't he)
4. Competitive Lotr.
those are my top 4 picks.
My top 4 picks:
1. Star Trek
2. Star Trek
3. Dune
4. Star Trek
I have always wanted Twilight Imperium LCG. *.* And one set in Terrinoth (Runebound) would also be awesome!

2. Warhammer 40k Co-Op LCG;
3. Warhammer Old World Co-Op LCG;
4. Android Co-Op LCG.
I really hope this is true. I've been playing AGoT 2 but am getting sick of seeing Lannister everywhere. And they're getting the next deluxe box. So I'm probably out of that fiasco.

You and everyone I know who played it.

To be the fair the deluxe was probably planned long before any kind of meta existed. Plus Stark and Lannister being the first is normal for the AGoT games.

So, literally Dwarves?
Edited by GizlivadiI know this will never happen, but I would love to see a co-op LCG for some of my favorite games like Final Fantasy or D&D. Now that I think about it, Dark Souls would be really cool. It's co-op but also has the option for PVP with other players invading your world, i.e. your current game haha. I doubt any of this would happen, but a man can dream. :3

To be fair, I actually think the dwarves thing happened because they were suddenly granted the Hobbit franchise after they had planned Khazad-Dum and they were stuck with a lot of dwarves. I hope so at least.
I the case of the Lannister fiasco, Nate publicly stated that the Lions were his favorite house and then made it so you could play Lions - or you could lose. Sad. I also believe that they knew that Lannister was going to be the second deluxe so they should have accounted for that.
I haven't read the books or watched the shows, but in a 1v1 game to have such an early imbalance strikes of shoddiness.

So, a Tyrion deck to rule them all?
Has happened many times.
Good point about Lot5R Julia. For some reason I thought it was coming out this Gencon, but it's not. So is there going to be a Marque LCG announcement? (Or any product for that matter.)
