If you had to do an Epic game with only small ships which ships would you use?

By OmegaLeader144, in X-Wing

Last one:

PHANTOMS

300 points

PILOTS

Sigma Squadron Pilot (25) x 12

I have actually... and it was so sick that I'm not sure any Rebel or Imperial Epic list can beat it.

4x Aggressor + VI + FCS + HLC + ID

8x Binayre + DMS

If I had to replace the Agressor's with small base ships:

6x Black Sun Ace + Deadeye + Homing Missile + Glitterstim + GC

Nice setup.

ULTIMATE TIE SWARM

297 points

PILOTS

Academy Pilot (12) x 11

Epsilon Squadron Pilot (15) x 11

Release the swarm!

the dream:

13254566_10207464216535930_8314511588611

multiply times 3 and far more than 3 times the destruction

The Swarm works REALLY well in Epic. Especially if your opponent has sunk most of their points in Epic ships and a smalls expensive escort.

With the recent two Epic ships, FFG has ramped up the power a little bit but still not by enough. Ships like The Raider should be destroying 2 or 3 ships a round and they just don't. They are a ton of fun to play with, but not as practical as a cheap large ship with some crew members.

After playing an Epic game where the Empire took on that Scum list I posted (the one with the 4 Aggressors), now my group sometimes makes an Epic ship mandatory to balance the scales.

Ok. By the way, using 4 Aggressor is genius.

They hit so hard (and are so hard to kill) it's not even funny! If 4 of them took up enough points to not be able to field a deadly swarm, perhaps you could focus fire them down if the dice played nice. But this isn't the case. If you go after the Aggressors, they (and the swarm) eat you up. If you go after the swarm... same result. BRUTAL list!

personally not a fan of epic

TEAM epic, though, can be hilarious due to the added people involved. Good all around social experience

but if I wanted to feel the epicness of starwars space battles, I'd get a game of Armada going

shoving a bunch of dice (re: swarms) from one end of the table to the other isn't really my idea of "epic"
