Dengar and Tel

Tel - Deadeye, Proton Torps, EM, GC, R4 Agro and Boba Fett - 40

That 3 point initiative bid has been crucial. So far I've played it at a Florida regional and went 4-2 and a local tourny and went 3-1. So 7-3 overall.

The three lists I've lost to:

Decimator, Fell with VI on Chirpy and Rebel Captive, EU, and the crew that converts 1 attacking and defending focus result on designated target. Deci moving last was a pain. I forgot to us the focus R4 combo once when I didn't have a focus result and ended up leaving the Deci on 2 health. I think I focused too much on Soontir because off the rebel captive

Palp Aces Shuttle, Soontir, Conner Jax. was only a 4 point difference at the end. Kept letting Conner Jax bump Denger, like 3 times in a row before I could break out. After the shuttle was dead and Tel was down to his 1 hull after respawning, I could have left Tell out of the fight longer before trying to get angle for his last set of missiles.

Palp, Inqusitor, OL, Wampa. Biggest loss, only got Wampa, OL with Juke and Comms Relay is just plan nasty. Need to focus him down while I still have 2 ships. I'd faced OL before once, but it was in the hands of a noob. Steve schooled me on what he can really do. Also messed up and get Dengar in Range 3 of the inquisitor without focus on turn 1. Lost 3 shields a turn early.

Overall happy with the list. Only change I'm considering is swapping Deadeye out for VI. There is a lot of 8 and 9 in the meta right now. Beat triple jumps once, but he flew over debris and next turn, self bumped 2 of his ships, so not sure how the next match will go. Could have used Boba in 3 of the 10 games so far, but forgot.

Primarily looking for Tactics advice against Triple Jump, Swarms and Imperial Aces.

Recon Specialist R4 combo really discurages shots at Dengar. And when they do, it can be very juicy. Thanks to Carlos for the idea.

In a 2 ship build, you can make it so Dengar is often their only shot.

Aww Cliff, I like your list! It is a pain to fly against that is for sure, however I should have taken that Carnor shot on Dengar before he blew up. My OL did pretty well against you, but compared to Steve I guess I'm more noobish. Having it go 4-2 in Regionals makes it pretty worth while if you ask me.

I forgot about your OL, was refering to an earlier game. Losing Carnor so quickly is hard to recover from.

Best way to kill an Palp aces is add Boba for 1 point. Normally, 1 good plasma torp followed by a proton torp with boba can knock him out very early. That makes Wampa pretty weak.

If youre going for an initiative bid then you dont really need deadye. go for VI instead. also id tinker around with the dengar build a bit if youre going with PTL

Dengar: title+k4+EU+PTL+unhinged=with PTL you really want to reposition thus the EU. since you have PTL you really want to be able to clear stress easily so go wit unhinged which goes well with K4. so if you ptl you could possibly get three actions a round

Tel: VI+proton+unhinged+fett+EM+hull= here you get Tel's shinanegans. or drop hull (which i dont know why you would ) and go with guidance chips to give both glitter stim
