Garven Dutch Combo

I've been playing X-wing for a while now (mostly losing). I have a special place in my heart for the dutch garven combo and wave 8 has given it a small boost.

Should Garven have a different astro? I can get another point back by swapping proton torps for plasma...

I'm really loving this combo right now though I have Esege in the mix as well.

Three fully modified ordinance shots in a turn is awesome and doles out great damage. I like the A-wings though i've never flown them so can't say how well I'd handle them.

A-wings take a little more thought to fly. They are as squishy as a Z and hit the same. Where they shine is bouncing around the mat like the ships were stolen and as hard to hit blockers. The last time I flew an all A-Wing list I won vs Imps but I had a headache from too much thinking!

R7-T1 is a lot of fun on Dutch if you're going with Autoblaster Turret. He gets to boost into position to use the turret or arc-dodge vs low PS while still being able to activate his ability. Can't speak to it's competitiveness (I've only flown it in casual squads so far), but it might be worth a try. Targeting Astromech is probably better though if you're not going with the turret.
