Number of different damage tokens

By player749078, in Wings of War (WWII)

Hi,

I recently calculated my damage tokens from the basic set and found out that I have 71 A tokens, 60 B tokens and 60 C tokens. When added together that makes total of 191 tokens. However, it says in the rulebook, that there are supposed to be 194 damage tokens. Could someone kindly give me the correct number of the different kind of damage tokens? I'd like to know what I'm missing.

Ok, I must be missing some as well as I only have 192 total. I will list what I have and hopefully we can figure what is missing between the two of us.

A Tokens

0 = 19 Think I could be missing one here, not sure though.

0: Right Rudder Jammed = 1

0: Left Rudder Jammed = 1

1 = 16

1: engine damaged = 1

2= 16

2: Right Rud Jam= 1

2: Left Rud Jam= 1

2: Wounded Pilot= 1

2: Aircraft On Fire= 1

3= 7

3: Smoke Trail= 2

3: Wounded Pilot= 1

4= 2

4: Engine Damage= 1

Explosion A Token= 1

Total I have is 72 A Tokens.

B tokens

0= 10

0: Right Rud Jam= 1

0: Left Rud Jam= 1

1= 5

2= 9

2: Wounded Pilot= 1

2: Smoke Trail= 2

3= 7

3: airplane Fire= 1

3: engine Damaged= 1

4= 6

4: Right Rud Jam= 1

4: Left Rud Jam= 1

5= 6

6= 2

6: Wounded Pilot= 1

7= 1

7:engine damaged= 1

8= 2

Explosion B Token= 1

Total of: 60

C Tokens

0= 25

3= 8

3: Right Rud Jam= 1

3: Left Rud Jam= 1

3: Engine damaged= 1

3: Smoke Trail= 1

5= 6

5: Right Rud Jam= 1

5: Left Rud Jam= 1

5: Wounded Pilot= 1

5: Smoke Trail= 1

6= 4

6: airplane fire= 1

6: Wounded Pilot= 1

6: Engine Damage= 1

8= 5

Explosion C Token= 1

Total of 60.

Hope that helps and that we can find out what we are missing. SHEP

Thanks for the answer Sheppard!

I have the same A tokens as you except that I only have six 3 s while you have seven. So I've found one of my missing tokens.

We have exactly the same set of B and C tokens. I think that means there probably is a misprint in the rulebook: the number of tokens should probably read 192 instead of 194. I arrived to this conclusion as it would be quite unlikely that we were missing the same 2 peaces out of 194...

By the way, those rudder damages that on quick glance seem to have 0 damage on them actually have number 1. Those small numbers have white background and the number is the same color as the chip itself. You can easily check that from the other special damage tokens. happy.gif

Thanks as I thought I was missing some tokens as well. Sorry about the 0/1 rudder thing as I was trying to count and write down what was there as I was keeping a 2 soon to be 3 year old boy from grabbing the tokens. I saw that no one else was replying to you as it seems this site is very lively. LOL. I only come on here in the winter months as that is when my group gets together. The group is growing as one of the guys that gamed with us last year and just started to show up again went out a bought the Deluxe set and is getting some of his friends involved. Next game night could be up to 8 or more players. How big is the group you play with aikavaras ? Good gaming to you are your group. SHEP

I have about 6-8 potential players. Last time we played with 5. The only problem is that we don't get together that often, and when we do we have loads of games to choose from. I've only got to play DoW a couple of times. I don´t have any figures yet but I'm sure to buy some in the future, at least a team of 109s and Spits. and of course some Stukas and Hurris when they'll appear. After that i´m well set for BoB scenarios. It shoukld be easier to lure players when i get the figures.

Yeah, everything gets more fun with pirates.., I mean figures. Tabletops just isn't the same without them, even games with hexagons like Blue mac and CY6 is funnier with figures.

There is of course the alternative to get some in micro scale (1/300) also for larger battles with bombers. 1/200 looks cooler of course but they tend to take up a lot of space as soon as you get bombers, I am kinda limited myself on storage space, my 1/144 WW1 bombers takes room enough and a B17 in 1/200 is huge. I am still running a large Wow campaign and havn't gotten my minis yet but I am thinking about getting of the official planes for fighter against fighter and then another smaller set for the heavy bombers (of course with another bunch of fighters in the same scale, fortunately are the micro planes really cheap).

You need a big apartment to play DoW if you plan to get bombers, both for the mat and to store the stuff when you not are playing. I need to move...
