Black One / PS9 Poe: A Missed Opportunity from FFG?

By Rebelinst, in X-Wing

until you realize regen poe loses his focus ability because he has to boost to trigger black one

Or that he can't take a focus or ditch a target lock because he got blocked.

Kyle, Esuage, Airen Cracken, Lando, PTL, or Garvin. Next Question?

PTL doesn't do anything if you get blocked.

Every thing else means you mentions means bringing 19+ points for buffing Poe and they only help while they are alive and meeting specific conditions.

Unless he's a target, Garven can't do anything for Poe until PS8 (PS6 if you don't take VI) and Poe is on a range 2 leash.

Airen Craken can pass a token at PS10 if he takes VI but needs a target and gives Poe a range 1 leash.

Esege does nothing for Poe on Defense and has a range 2 leash.

Lando can be awkward as he needs to end his move in range 1 of where Poe starts the round.

Kyle is the least restrictive as he still works at range 3 and gives Poe the token at the top of the combat phase.

On top of all the restrictions, those ships would also grant benefits to PTL+BB-8 Poe so including them in the comparison doesn't seem right. .

competitive pilots, one and all

I'm no fan of the Poe reprint either but what gets me most is the Falcon repackage. I'm just not into having two YT-1300s nor am I all that interested in the new Han and Chewie cards.

This should be followed by a Fozzy Bear wokka wokka :)

....

Look, even if it is a Missed Opportunity, clearly their Opponent at the time (I don't know who that is) is letting them go back and amend it, as per the Tournament Rules.
