Squad builds

By ChewfalconSolo, in X-Wing

Hey guys.

I'm a new player with relatively low access to ships, but I DO have the following expansions:

YT-1300

YT-2400

x2 Y Wing

x2 A Wing

x2 X Wing (one Core 1)

K-Wing

B-Wing

I do have a lot of Imperial ships as well to grab some other upgrades and such.

Tie Advanced

x2 Tie Fighter (core)

x1 FO Tie Fighter

Tie Punisher

x2 Tie Interceptor

Tie Phantom

Firespray-31

What I'd like to acomplish is 3-4 ships with a bomber to help the Falcon immobilize everything. Thus Ion bombs, and Conner Nets and Prox mines.

The only issue I'm having is keeping it within 100 points, while having a bomber.

Since I'm new to the game (and at this point just playing casually). I need some help with learning how to squad build effectively.

What I'd like to do is a Fat Han with Bomber Support as I aforementioned above, as well as a solid Darth Vader squad.

Anyone have some solid advice to share?

Hello, a Fat Han is quite point expensive, So it would be almost impossible to fit 4 ships unless you use z-95. You could try something like this.

YT-1300: · Han Solo (46)

Predator (3)

Gunner (5)

· Millenium Falcon (1)

Y-Wing: Gold Squadron Pilot (18)

Bomb loadout (0)

Extra Munitions (2)

Ion Cannon Turret (5)

Red Conner (4)

A-Wing: Prototype Pilot (17)

Chardaan Refit (-2)

The Y-wing would carry most of the control (ion and conners) but is fragile so you have yo use the A wing for blocking (and messing with the opponents formation. Finally Han with predator and Gunner hit very hard.

Note you will need to proxy some cards.

Yeah, I was about to post the same thing about the Falcon being point-expensive, so I won't say more about that.

Re: Vader: I like to pair him with a bunch of low-level TIEs. (I won a game last night using a list I call "Vader teaches class"—Vader + 5x Academy Pilot). You could also use TIE Interceptors. Be sure to put Engine Upgrade on Vader. I see a lot of people put Push the Limit on him too, but I think that's not a good idea—you really don't want to stress Vader. Predator or Outmaneuver are both solid choices for him.
