I don't think anything is changed for IG88 in this meta. Torpedoes can be tough but certainly winnable. Probably the reason they are seeing less table time is that most IG88 players are taking a break to fly new stuff (not because they are no longer viable).

The only lists they struggle against are aces, it's really really hard for them to get a Fel or Vader in arc

Yeah. I flew them at my last 2 tournaments and it was hard work coming up against so many imperial aces.

I hear Brobots have it rough (though they can still win) against U-Boats. With Crackshot and HLCs, they cap out at 8 damage which is 1 point shy of alpha striking a U-Boat off the board (which is the advantage that Chihuahuas and Crackswarms have), but even though they can make their green dice exception with Autothrusters and Glitterstim, they can't stop a 4-hit plasma torp attack which will inherently strip extra shields away.

They can probably cripple the bananas out of one U-Boat and put it at one health or so, but then to finish the job they have to K-Turn or S-Loop against 3 large base ships who are superior blockers and will probably be trying to clog up the lane. Can get tricky. I think that match-up favors the U-Boats slightly, but not dramatically. The U-Boats end up a bit toothless endgame vs the one remaining BroBot and his autothrusters, but with half points being a factor on all ships, it could still be a 66 to 75pt loss for Bros if they don't fly aggressively and find their arcs.
