A bit hypothetical here. In a squadron where you are guaranteed initiative and have Biggs plus other ships of your choice which of the following versions of Wedge would you prefer

1. BB-8, Crack Shot & Integrated Astromech

2. BB-8 & Engine Upgrade

There is difference of opinion between the people I know who play. I'm very much undecided.

If you have Biggs go crack. Wes is a bear to deal with behind Biggs and I recommend him over Wes given you have Biggs in squad.

That is indeed what some people suggest. Others counter that by saying that an Engine Upgrade (especially after a BB-8 and green move) will often

1. Allow you to doughnut Dash / TLT ships

2. Get an enemy in arc that wouldn't otherwise be in arc

3. Get you out of arc to fight another day

Given the current lists that are winning tournaments number 1 probably won't be relevant. Numbers 2 and 3 might be.
