I'm just curious. I'm wondering if maybe some people in a non-English speaking country want to trade spare cards for some of the named guys in a different language. That would be pretty cool to have a Dutch "Dutch" pilot card. Or a Swedish "Dark Curse", or .....etc. etc.

EDIT: So, if anyone has a spare X-wing card of a pilot in something other than English and wants to trade, just PM me. I'm thinking examples like Fel's Wrath or any other not popular pilot that you might have a few spares. Named Tie Fighter pilots are also a good example. I'll take spare X-wing pilots, too. Really, anything that I have spare of would be cool to have in a different language.

I had a Luke from nationals last year that was in polish. I have seen German and a guy I was talking with here in a trade said he had some in Japanese. I'm not sure how many different languages they are printed in though.

Well at least in germany not all pilot names are translated for whatever reasons, so Dark Curse and Backstabber are not translated but Howlrunner and Night Beast have been translated of course Luke Skywalker is still Luke Skywalker.

Most of the ship names are translated but X-Wings were X-Wings (and all other wings ships were whatever wing ship) and TIE-Fighters were TIE-Fighters however due to Disney those are also translated.

I know of German and French and thought I saw Spanish. No Dutch version exists.

I reckon I would have a good chance. I once won a bet by spelling 'brzeszczot' correctly, from only hearing it spoken.

I’m italian. Personally I prefer english version cause I saw lot of translation errors, so actually I buy only the english expansions.

Some pilot cards are translated, but not all.

Es: Luke is always Luke, Dark Curse is “Maledizione Oscura”.

They have translated ship names: “X-Wing” is “Ala-X” (horrible!!!).

Some examples of upgrade cards:

Autothrusters -> Manovratori automatici

Stealth Device -> Dispositivo schermante

there is x-wing in italian language

I love my "Tourelle A Canons Ioniques" - and the Y-Wing it came with only cost about 75% of the usual UK price

X-Wing is NOT available in Japan don't you mean a card in Chinese?

Russian ( base and first 2 waves)

The first starter set and the first two waves were officially published in Russian, as well. To be honest, the Russian language simply doesn't feel right in a classical American setting. No critical mistakes were noticed, but 'Rebel only' is translated as 'только для мятежников'. That's sort of funny, because the Russian word 'мятежник' has strictly negative meaning, in contrast with the English word 'rebel'.

According to Boardgamegeek's information, there's 13 versions of X-wing the core set. As for TFA, there's currently 7.

However, judging by the Traditional Chinese version of the game, we only ever gotten wave 1 ship out of it. The local version discontinued and almost all the local players brought the English version.

But we have word 'повстанец', that have strictly positive and heroic meaning (and it is a common translation of 'rebel' in SW universe stuff).

Names of pilots with call signs (Howlrunner, Dark Curse etc) are translated and many of them are too awkward for Russian language. Dark Curse translated as 'Темный Бич' (Dark Scourge), that also has slang meaning as 'Dark Bum' Literal translation of Dark Curse is a 'Темное Проклятье' and it is hardly suitable phrase for call sign.

Howlrunner translated as 'Ревун' (Howler). And so on.

Curiously some names are never translated.

For example TIE Defender is still TIE Defender in Polish edition (and I like the fact) while TIE Fighter is Myśliwiec TIE.

I tend to keep English cards whenever I get them and use my own translations while discussing something.

My Polish is a bit rusty, but here you mean translating it literally as "twin" as opposed to "dual"?

I'd love to trade spare cards for anyone that has them in a different language than English. I'm thinking Fel's Wrath would be an awesome one to trade and I'm pretty sure I have about 3-4 spare ones. Other cards can be any ones that are interesting. I think I have spare Dark Curse and seeing that name in Italian is awesome. Or any of the X-wing pilots. I've got spares of those guys.

Or...let me know what cards you would be willing to trade for.
