Pets you'd love to see

By Ravenheart87, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

So, with Adventurer's Toolkit, the first pet rules are introduced to WFRP, thanks to the Small But Vicious Dog of our beloved Rat Catcher.
What other pets would you like to see, with unique rules, cards, talents, and so on? My list:

-Horses and Destriers: We need them badly, along with the Squire and Knight careers. Riding tricks would be awesome.
-Black Cats: What would a Witch do, without a black cat?
-Familiars: Every wizard needs one.
-Imps: Even chaos sorcerers need a friend... or at least, something like that.
-Wardogs: After playing Dragon Age, I'd realy like to play a Mercenary with his tough furry friend. The only thing that ruins this dream, is that I'm the GM...
-Falcons: They are cool, and would be really useful for a Hunter.

Ravens and Owls:

Ominous bird familiars for Clerics of Morr and Wizards.

ooooh yeah.

Comedy option: MONKEEEYYYYS

PaRRRRRRots! A must for any salty sea dog worth their salt!

Don't forget Rats, Weasels, and Ferrets!

a frog or toad? as wizard familiar.

in D&D we had a absent-minded wizard with a toad familar, the toad was subjected to all kind of accidents, like the wizard sitting down on the toad, or once he almosted cooked the toad by accidently knocking him over and down in the stew. the Toad was a great comedy relief. with its resigned posture and eyes that pitied "why me?"gran_risa.gif

Gnoblars!

In our current group there's a character who won one from an ogre mercenary and what can I say? There's nothing like a little whining pathetic greenskin following you around to get you into a lots of trouble.

Nurgling.

Imagine the tricks he can do...

HA HA HA HA OH MAN

Imagine in what HORRID orifices the PC keeps this little bugger.

Too bad Reiklanders can't train Squigs.

Parrots would be good, but I guess what we are seeing here is the test suite for the White Lion for the High Elves and maybe some of the Wood Elf career's will in the future have pets as well.

How about White Lions?

Jesus Christ, then my girlfriend already has a pet! Better not hurt her character next time we play, because she'll use some nasty tricks, like "Delicious Cultists! Yum Yum!" or "It's Fhtagn, Not Fthagn"...

You just made my day mate gran_risa.gif

A Sword Boy.

You know, who carries all of your gear around. When you need a sword, you can call for him. Plus he won't mind being pushed into the mud and abused when things aren't going well and you need to vent your frustrations.

(Army of Darkness anyone? Eh? EH? heh heh)

ALso: Small But Vicious Cthulhu is pretty kick ass.

There are no pets in the core set this - I'm disappointed. My players wanted horses - they did not get them.

But I hope this little mistkae will be fixed in upcoming expansions.

Horses, dogs, cats, deers and other creatures of the forest will be also a nice thing to see.

Bears and wolves as pets.

Yes those are also missing.

I would love to see a pet AND its accompanying class I have wanted to see in WFRP since forever ago.....the High Elven White Lion and a stat sheet for his/her faithful white lion pet!

I wanna see the conversation between the White Lion and the Rat Catcher after his lion eats the dog.

...and the Rat Catcher feeds the lion a horse's dose of rat poison the following night.

One of the Pet action cards has a picture of someone, I think a dwarf, riding a polar bear - very impressive. However, the only Pet currently is the Small But Vicious Dog. So, now I have a picture in my head of the dwarf trying to use the Small But Vicious Dog as a mount. partido_risa.gif

Where there are already Imps in the system. For enemies Id love to see nurglings, squigs etc. for the players Id love to see hawks, wolves, small wyrms etc.

Impertinant human laborer, I thought it was jest when you suggested your minute, but ferocious, mongrel could kill my beloved feline companion! How in the name of Khaine did he do it?

I taught him the trick 'Get Caught in Their Throat.'
